CycleJay, are you sure it is the gauge and not the fuel sending unit? Check your grounds and the single pink wire running to the fuel tank there is a black connection on it, also check the TM for proper troubleshooting the electrical system. LMC has the fuel gauge and you can get the fuel...

Barrman, DO NOT take the combination valve apart, you will end up breaking the needle in the combination valve and there are NO rebuild kits for them. The instructions state to have an assistant push and hold the needle in so that you can bleed the brakes or install a tool onto the combination...
Is it leaking from the hydrobooster itself or where the hose fittings that screw into the hydrobooster? The reason why I am asking this is because, when you remove and install the hoses you must always install new orings on the end of the hose fittings if not they will leak. Hope this helps.
