I will look into this further and let everyone know what I find, I will also probably post a thread on the outfitting of the 1009, also the remote start system I am using is designed to work for diesels, it is a Viper 791XV, two way remote start system, it has a function where it can sense the...
I need a RPM hook up for my remote start Alarm that I am installing,
As I was reading the CUCV Manual (the 289-20 PDF) I noticed that it said that when adjusting the idle RPM, plug the STE/ICE into the plug on the M-1009 to find your current rpm,
DOES THIS MEAN THAT THERE IS A RPM SENSOR THAT...
Ok, thought that looked a little odd for a switch, if anyone has any pics of that blockout plate that would help, I will further investigate on the truck in the morning.
I am going to have to do some wireing in the doors anyway for the power windows and locks, so I guess I might have to get a little more wire, along with having the dealer fax me a wireing chart to get this thing looking OEM.
I dont think there is any wire for the doam lights, but ti seems odd...
As I wait for all the stuff that I ordered for my truck to get in I have figured that I would be dumb not to get a better security system that the stupid clattery chain below my seat, which I will retire..
THE ALARM I just picked up (or got online rather) a new Viper 791XV, I plan on installing...
Well I just ordered off for the last bit of everything (as the kickpanel mounts and dashpad were out of stock) for the truck (as I want to just spend like 2 days straight and have the thing done), so I will be posting the pics of it all in a little under a week from now...
Well I got my 6x9s one set of my 3.5s (I am using the LMC truck center speaker adapter bracket that is set to accept dual 3.5s to replace the center speaker, this way I will have a dual center speakers along with the side dash speakers), my Kenwood deck, ipod adapter, so I still am waiting for...
Ok, did some poking around w/ the multimeter, I will be going w/ the front batt. as it is the way I have always done it,
+ The junction box on the drivers side next to the glow plug relay that someone mentioned is 12v BUT does not look like a place where one would want to draw up to 60AMPS...
Oh yea this IS a CIVVY amp so it is not 24v.
It's a Infinity Reference 7541A
» 4-channel car amplifier
» 111 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (139 watts x 4 at 2 ohms)
» 278 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
» front and rear variable high-/low-pass...
I am getting ready to install a sound system in my CUCV, I am going to be using a 500wat Amp for the speakers (4 channel), where is the best place to tap into to, where I can get 60amps, is there anywhere on the power block on the fire wall or maybe the old military radio power cables???
Where...
Yea bio & veggie works great (also great if you live in a colder climate where running a dual tank WVO system kinda sucks). I have some docs on it that I got off a HMMWV site, search Google and you could probably find em' but you can build your own bio getup for under 500 bucks...
***What about the rear speakers? how do they mount on the civvy units???
Thanks
As far as the mat I am using the mat kit from LMC truck, about 80 bucks for the sound mat and the thermal mat together.
I am using sound deading mat, thermal mat, coating the floor in rubberized undercoating, and a nifty products carpet (black) in the front half of the M1009 (rear Line-X), and also using rubber floor mats to keep my carpet looking good.
As far as the speakers go, I am going to be using all...
So I just got my CUCV, and now I am going to be installing a sound system as I cant carry a tune, and singing to myself leads to strange looks from bystanders
I am using a Kenwood 500 deck (I think that is the name) w/ iPod support (I will make a pouch on the metal brake at the shop and...
Just drove mine almost 500mi home, at 75+ and it ran just fine, wish it has a 700r4 or maybe even a 4l80e would be cool, but I dont think it really needed enough to swap one in.
Well I am trying to get rid of the pleather aspect of this truck. I can get a good deal on late model surb. seats, so I am thinking of getting tan leather front seats and dropping them in (as they will bolt up....right?), however the rear seat is what this question is about...
will the third...
