Yep, I was there. My truck dragged me out there to see all the other trucks. Got me sunburned and cost me $50 bucks.
Being owned by a truck can be rough sometimes!

So what are they and where did you get them?
I've often thought of using some landing light bulbs on my truck (they are 24VDC and low amps) but so far haven't done it. Would be nice at times, though.

Hi All,
I found this fording breather pipe (at least I think it is) in a bunch of parts in my storage unit. I know it doesn't fit a M-37 and I posted it in the 151 thread because I thought maybe it belonged there. NDT told me I had it in the wrong place and that it was actually a CCKW or M135...
Hi All,
I found this fording breather pipe (at least I think it is) in a bunch of parts in my storage unit. I know it doesn't fit a M-37 and I thought it might fit a jeep or 151 from same period. I'm hoping somebody here might recognize it, because I don't have a clue as to what vehicle it...
Lots of old threads in Steel Soldiers. Lots of old vehicles; and lots of old people. Sometimes old threads get resurrected because there is still interest in them.
You get to pick and choose what threads you respond to.

Start with the usual suspects; Midwest Military, Vintage Power Wagon, etc. The pulleys don't seem to be as common as the generators.
Good luck; sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Most of the stuff I have. All the big pieces. Getting the working stuff is harder.
Yes, you are correct, I'm not driving 9 states away to look at this stuff.
Mics, cables, junction boxes, etc. are much more difficult to find.
If you run across any in Washington or Oregon, please let me know...
It is part of the fording equipment and the crankcase ventilation system. The fumes from your oil pan are fed back into your carburetor system.
One of the manuals explains how the system works. I believe it is the engine manual, but I'm not sure.
John at Midwest will know which manual the...
Welcome to the site! Be sure to register your truck on G741; it will help you and lots of other people trying to compile a history of these vehicles.
Get yourself a complete set of manuals and start reading them. That way you will at least know what these vehicles started out as. You will also...
Mine is not Officially Named, but is (sort of) by default.
I put a cartoon character on each side of the truck, so now the truck is sometimes referred to by that character's name.
I haven't come up with anything better yet, and what my wife calls the truck would get me in trouble if I painted...
That sounds like a cool idea. Having bleeding edge technology to use to keep your 1971 truck oil pan (and maybe batteries) warm. That's just great!

I'm just trying to be sure that JimC2 has thought about where this road leads. It's not just a bigger engine. If you know where you will end up and are prepared for the effort and cost, have fun, it's your truck.
Charles Talbert at M Series Rebuild would be a really good person to have this...
Well, if you decide you want a fuel fired heater kit for your truck, let me know. I have 2, new in the crate, NSN 2540-570-1356 Arctic Winterization Kits in my garage taking up room. They are looking for a new home. Preferably in a colder climate.
The winterfront, fuel-fired heater, and all the...
I posted this morning in 3 separate threads (New Washington Member, M 37 Bigger Engine, and the post to you). The count never changed from 377. So, I thought I would bother you to see what was going on.
Thanks again!
