Just a question of curiosity for Patracy or one of the other mods.
My post count never increases even though I've posted numerous responses over the last couple of months. Is there something I've done to disconnect the post count function?

Welcome to the site!
What part of the state are you in? Wet side or dry side? If you are in the Tacoma / Olympia area there are lots of members down there.
What do you plan to do with your trailer?

It's true that you can put the monster, supercharged gazillion horsepower engines in the M-37, but it will only break and destroy the rest of your power train. If you want to go fast in a M-37 you will need to change the transmission, transfer case, front and rear ends, brakes (the brakes were...
Great Job, Gunny! Wonderful to see the completed truck. I hope you have as much fun driving it as you did restoring it.
These trucks are never really "done", though. There is always some little part, job, improvement you just need to to do. That's one of the things I enjoy most.
Your pictures...
Oh, M-37's / M-42's are GREAT! I love 'em. They're lots and lots of fun (especially out in the woods). My M-37 / M-42 is the only pickup truck I've ever owned; and I'm 62.
I just meant to point out that they will be a long term economic drain on your resources; but then, a lot things are in...
It really depends on where you are. The market is always local, with local being a flexible term. What is the market clearing price in your area?
You also need to consider what skills you bring to ownership and what social and professional connections you have to accomplish your goals for the...
San Diego and L.A. are a universe away from northern Washington state. (like from northern Maine to southern Florida).
WW II is too old and late Viet Nam is too new for me. I'm looking for the last of the tube stuff and the hybrid radios. Boat Anchor stuff from the 1950's to the late 1960's...
Well, Mike, I'm interested in any of the Old Family gear that you might find (A/N GRC -3, -5, -7 or A/N GRR-5 and VRC stuff from that period). Especially 24 VDC vibrators, mics, headsets, connectors, wiring, etc.
I'm a General class HAM, but not very experienced (I'm good at taking tests)...
If you develop / design a hydraulic dumping system for these trailers, please post it. I'd be very interested in that modification, and I'm sure others on here would be as well.
Thanks,

I'd let you use my garage, but Washington is a bit far to travel for a garage.
I used to rig up some poles (2x4's) and a tarp to keep the rain off back in the old days.
Sorry about your conditions, but they will change in a few months.

Sure. It doesn't care where the gas comes from as long as it gets the gas. I've even seen these things installed with a little gas tank on the left front fender. The heater itself mounts inside the engine compartment (or you can mount it any where you want). It has its own metal box to live in...
If you have a gasoline truck, I have a complete, new in the crate, fuel fired heater / winterization kit (it has a winterfront for the grill, too).
It will keep you warm. In Alaska. In the winter. In Barrow.
PM if you are interested.

It's a good product for a low price. Should it prohibited from ever appearing again because it is three years old and you remember it?
Also, there just might have been some new members in the last 3 years who have never heard about these. I see nothing wrong with a supplier's product appearing...
Here are some pictures of the cup holders I got from Vintage Iron mounted in my M-37. No holes drilled in the seat box, just sheet metal hooks under the seat and magnets on the back.
They work great on paved roads (up or down hills and around corners). If I'm out in the woods I always have an...
I'm going to try to be there with the M-42 (I'm working on getting all the M-42 canvas installed on the M-37). It's a bit of a drive (90 miles one way) but my son and I will attempt it.
No uniform yet, but hopefully the truck will look O.K.
