1st, It needs the Doghead Relay Mod. I think both relays used are bad. Sounds like other stuff is fried now because of it. Your going to have to go get it, These type of repairs need to be done on home turf.

Hey, make sure it is oil and not dirty tranny fluid. I had similar symptoms, and it was the front tranny seal (pump seal). Also, if it is oil, make sure it is not coming from up higher on the back of the motor, and just running down and out of the inspection cover. That is just my two cents.

Most 16.5 rims don't have the extra hump on the inside of the tire. You are right, these do not make for very good off-road rims. I have a very nice set too. They have been up on my shelf for 5 years. Weld on beadlocks will only help this on the outside of the wheel.
