M923A1 fuel pump to far advanced.

You are right, its quiet at an idle. Talked with a Ford diesel tech and he was saying some of the mechancial fuel pumps if they are to far advanced will produce a type of spark knock sound. Thanks again for assistance getting it pickup. It was nine hours getting it home in the cold but I was...

M923A1 fuel pump to far advanced.

Has anyone here had issues with what sounds like spark knock under acceleration with there NHC250? This moter only has 57 hours on it and maybe still needs to wear in but under acceleration I can hear what sounds like a faint metalic banging.

I had driven to work with it. It has always taken a small tug to get it out.

    M923A1 shifter stuck in reverse.

Well, before I go out in the cold to repair. I thought I would see if anyone else has had this happen. I was parking my truck and when I went to shift out of reverse, the selector would not move. My hunch is that the cable release is simply not moving far enough to allow it to come out. Anyone...

    Road Speed 900 Series Truck?

I just drove mine 300 miles. At 2000 rpms I was going 63. At 2300 I was going 67. Drove it comfortably at 2000 rpms all the way home. The power steering is awesome, like a car.

The big tires must make the difference. At 2300 I was doing 69. Had no problems with the truck. Left Menomonee Falls at 3pm and arrived in Grand Rapids at midnight. Would have made better time but had to take a hour detour for my wife and was in grid lock traffic on the Dan/Ryan for 2 hours...

    ATF in M35A3 CAT 3116

No problem to add a couple of quarts at each fill up. It is better if you do, the new diesel fuels dont have the lubricants they used to.

Anyone have any videos of 900 series trucks mudding?

I agree, I would want them hide from view. I also enjoy driving with the sides rolled up.

What is PITA? I drove my A3 right through Chicago in 2010. It wasn't bad until I got on 80/94 going east, then the speed of cas coming up from behind got scary. Me=45mph, upcoming cars=90 mph= not good. I can't tell you how many times I thought I was going to get rearended. Glad you had a good...
