Removed Lamps on mine. No Back-up lumination but thats ok. When my baby moves forward or backward people stay out of way around here. Something to get back to someday? That project is near bottom in priority for me.
Does she have 22k, 122k or ? I suppose I will never be able to verify. Other than rust from Salted Roads in Utah &^%$#@! I am very happy to have her! She runs quite well and plan on keeping her till I am gone from this planet. Thanks for all your input as always. DMLII sends
Was hoping there would be a CLEAR telltale sign from manufacture to military! Something clearly unique from civi supply lines. So much for that Hasdrubal. Suppose I go on wondering... is it 22k miles or other???
Installed new Brake Pads and rotated Tires. Had a cracked Pad on left front inboard? No wonder she was squeeling when applied. Wonder if original from GM? Odometer shows 22k and change.
Fellow SS's, Is there a way to positively verify if my Brake Pads are originals from GM to US Military? My M1009 shows 22k on Odometer and have yet to find anything on vehicle to prove that Odometer has not been rolled over. Attached pictures of Pads from left front. Hope you all can help...
It is a lighter shade of green. Not the photo. Guys at work call it Baby B**f Green. Went on pretty well with heavy texture roller. Looking for Rhino look.

I try to at least spend a couple hours a week going through CUCV Forum in detail. The payoff for...
Very nice job allenhillview! Did you have fun with the plumbing? Looks very steril and functional. I also want to keep originals functional. Thanks for offering assistance. Really appreciate the thought. DMLII sends
biggestc69, thanks for reply! Trial and error in this camp to some extent. SS's help me avoid major blunders! This Thread is a great example of how benificial this site can be in my opinion.
Still not completly sure where I want my gages. Once Tiny Tach is done will find home(s) for Oil...
biggestc69, I like your trio of gages! Looks clean and choices suite all my needs. Was it a comple kit or did you build custom? Please drop me a note. Thanks
I Have been told that GM shops can perform what is called Dynamic Tuning on 6.2 to optimise all available HP and Economy? Has anyone taken 6.2 J code in to GM for Tune?
Sure I would like a little more power in fully loaded long pull situations! Why not pursue via this angle first? I am not...
Good job Radioshop! Mine is held together with JB Weld and crossed fingers. Placing order with NAPA today.
Do you happen to know if Windshield Washer Bottle is same situation. Do not like getting LMC parts that are to spendy for low quality.
Thanks in advance, DMLII sends
Been waiting to see somebody get into this project Dingoman!
I have worked on Diffs before but not this one. My suggestion is to go through TM's with fine tooth comb. Will probably show step by step overhaul procedure?
Proceed with caution! If tolerances are not setup properly you will...
