Another thing it does right after starting is that the voltmeter will drop into the yellow about 5 or 8 times. You can here a definate change in the draw on the engine. It is as if something is drawing power and cycling. Could that be the PCB also? Mine is a Prestolite.
Thanks,

I am working on the sheriff's m1113 and have run into a problem. The batteries drain over night. I have disconnected the negative from both batteries to stop it but what is wrong? with the front battery hooked up as it should be and the neg off on the second battery, I can flip the start...
This did not fix my problem. I was able to turn up the idle quite a bit but if you rev the engine and take your foot off the gas it will come close to dying still. Any other ideas?
I see you guys have already posted pics of ours. It really draws attention and this past summer I had my daughter drive it in parades and she had her friends ride with her. They had a blast. She would really like to take it to school. She said they have some hoodlums that sit in their trucks...
I know this is an older thread but how would this work on a hmmwv? Which battery would I want to disconnect because I currently can't let it sit overnight without draining the batteries. I currently disconnect both negative terminals.

Could I open the petcock on the filter while running and have someone give it some fuel and let up on the pedal to see if there is a change? Would that help or am I way off on this?
So do you think I may have a restricted fuel filter or is there a setting on the fuel pump? I am new to these monsters and have the operator's manual TM and have been reading it but I don't see anything on this issue.
Well I did that and it did not help. I noticed that if I slowly let up on the fuel, it continues to run, if I take my foot off the pedal, it is like I just turned it off. Is there a way to adjust the amount of fuel that continues when I take my foot off the pedal? I also have a serious power...
Could a clogged fuel filter cause the HMMWV to stall out when you brake or let up on the gas quickly? Got her started after purging the system. Looking to change the fuel filter next? Any other suggestions?
I just got the chance to play a little with the sheriff's dept new m1113. It looks to be in nice condition. I was not there when it was unloaded but they said it fired right up when jumped form one of the deuces. Drove around a little and died. Started up again then died after driving a...
