Its the rear output shaft seal. It may still be a good seal, just a little bit of fluid pushes past it when everything warms up. When I had my M1009, it did this on long trips, especially when towing. Check your t-case vent to make sure its open. Even if it is, it may still leak. Common problem...

I just went through this with my M37. From my understanding, the 3 pos switch is no longer avalible, and hard/exspensive to find. I ended up using a 4 pos switch, but bought an adapter harness from Vintage Wiring when I bought the rest of my harness. Good Luck

When I had my M1009, I ran 34x9.50x15 off brand Mud Terrains, and they never rubbed, no matter how high I jumped it or wheeled it. No lift kit either.

Just finished painting and reassembly of the M887. Now that the paint work is done, hopefully this winter I can get the mech upgrades done.

Found some M37 side panels, the ones under the hood, above the fenders. Also a duece/M37 windshield frame. Good shape, except for a couple of drilled holes. Only one glass, cracked. Looking for 2 M37 headlights, 1 new M37 brakelight. If anybody is interested in anything I have, let me know...
