    255 85 R16 tires for dually A3

Nope, been looking for my civy dually, and there expensive and not alot of options. Looking for an all terrain tread, but have only found mud/off road terrain, the Toyo M55 being the priciest

M1028 A1 Contact Truck with M887 contact body and Wisconsin Generator

On a 5 gal tank, it will run roughly 4 hours straight. That's based on 4 hours of strictly welding around 100 amps on a 90* day. Only stop welding to chip slag, change rods, or dress something with a grinder.

M1028 A1 Contact Truck with M887 contact body and Wisconsin Generator

Couple more pics I moved the air compresser and set it on top of a old 11 gal air tank, for more capacity. I found while using an impact or air tools the small wall mounted wasn't enough. So I plumbed in the extra tank, as well as mounted the hose reel to the side wall. Its pretty empty right...

M1028 A1 Contact Truck with M887 contact body and Wisconsin Generator

Here's a couple pics. Originally the welder had a draw straw into the Dodge gas tank, and since M88x series get terrible mileage, and my gas gauge was inop, I modified the center left cabinet to hold a 5 gal boat can. It feeds into a spin on fuel filter, then feeds into the fuel pump on the...

M1028 A1 Contact Truck with M887 contact body and Wisconsin Generator

I used 2 ratchet straps to secure my O2 tank, and one ratchet strap around the acetylene tank.

Will do. Headed to work, so it will be tomorrow before I can get out to the shop for pics

M1028 A1 Contact Truck with M887 contact body and Wisconsin Generator

Yep, I've got oxy /acetylene tanks mounted. I've got a T tank of oxy that slides into the side door and lays right behind the genny itself, and an AC5 acetylene up front in the holder provided.

M1028 A1 Contact Truck with M887 contact body and Wisconsin Generator

On my M887, the battery was located up top, within the elec components. In your second pic, there's a large empty spot between the front of the box and the silver overspeed box, battery goes there. A group 31 fits nicely. I've seen on GSA/Forestry trucks they had cables run up front to run off...

Sign in then minutes later it says im not signed in?

There's a time limit, something like 10 min of no activity and your automatically logged off. I find on lengthy posts to write my post, highlight and copy, then refresh, log back in, paste the text, then do the pic thing. Pain yes but its how I've gotten around it

    Alternator Overcharging maybe?

Sounds like either a bad connection in the wiring, or a faulty alternator. My M887 did the same thing. New volt reg, made sure it had a good ground, and a new alternator solved the problem. Alternators are cheap for these trucks, cheaper than that Delco 12Si you want to make fit. Last one I...

    Tires

Thanks to some pics posted by Lawrence of Arabia, shortly after I bought my M887 I mounted 37" HMMWV tires on mine, and trimmed the fenders. I went one step further and added some metal back to the fender to help stiffen it back up. Search on here I had a thread on it some years back

    6.5L Turbo refit

So after several hours scouring several forums, and calling a couple different exhaust shops as well as performance exhaust companies, here's what I found. The original crossover pipe for a 6.5 turbo is in fact larger of than what a CUCV runs, however, its a double walled pipe, and are known for...

    6.5L Turbo refit

Hahaha I understand, been googling, come up with everything from 2.25 to 3", and everybodies aftermarket crossover. I'll keep at it. Thanks

    6.5L Turbo refit

Yup leaving it stock on the drivers side. Crossover is custom anyways, being I'm stuffing a turbo 6.2 into an M37. Any chance you know it can measure the exhaust pipe size on both sides? I need to get the cups made up, and need a size to start with

    6.5L Turbo refit

For those who have finished this conversion, do you have any part numbers for the pass side exhaust donut? Mine was gone when I got the setup, and by application calls for 2 different sizes, one being the same as the drivers side, the other having a larger ID dimension. Also, for the exhaust...

Has anyone put HMMWV wheels on a Dually?

Looks to be a 2" spacer between the duals, possibly a 2.5"? I've got a '93 Dodge dually that could use a set of shoes like that

    welder choice...

Second the Hypertherm 45. I've got one, and love it. Rarely use the torches to cut anymore, as the 45 will severe 1" plate. Mainly use it for 1/2" and under, but its nice to have that capacity if needed. Only thing I wish I had done was get the 45 with the computer interface plug, that way in...

    welder choice...

My shop inventory includes 2 mig units, one with spool gun, plasma cutter, tig/stick machine, 2 sets of torches and the Hobart gas welder in the SECM box outside. Pretty set on machines, just working on all the extras for shaping and forming metal

    welder choice...

Whether your a pipeliner, production welder, fab welder or somebody who's trying to stick 2 pieces of metal together for there army truck, its all based on the basic principles of welding. Follow the basics and practice, your project should come out nice
