Hoping that someone sees this fast and is able to help. Can I swap my non-working old style tail light from my deuce for a tail light off my m1082 lmtv trailer that says "12 volt" on the back if I put new 24v bulbs in it? I believe all the blackout lights are LED anyway. Will the rest of the...
Can any of you fine individuals assist me with identifying this spring that came with my deuce in one of a couple of unlabeled random Parts bags? Any chance it's the parking brake arm spring? Doesn't look like the diagrams in the TMS or parts list but that's where I happen to have a spring...
Got some questions about the receiver hole in the bed. Did you install this yourself or was it something that was already there. I'm building one to put in an m1082 trailer and never considered that as an option. Would someone mind posting pics? I was just going to mount it on a 12" square...
Good morning and thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Got a Deuce with plastic wiper motors, driver's side is starting to get "sticky", assuming from swelled o ring because of oil in the system (another story). It works if I crank up the air to warp speed but doesn't take too long to...
Looked around on the forum for folks doing mods to try tandem trailers and didn't really find what I was looking for so I'll throw this latest brainchild out there for suggestion and scrutiny.

What are any thoughts you would like to share on...
Sorry to bump this thread but do you not, then, advise driving a deuce with no air dryer in single-digit temps, even with purging the tanks religiously? What kind of brake failure is possible? Will they lock up or just not engage (or both?)
Actually yes but we are in the process of moving from there. You are obviously familiar with the area. Are you in Ortonville or Brandon Township?

Looked in your thread history for the info you mentioned but didn't see it. Would it have been labeled relative to the topic (I assume)? Also, are you still doing vehicle info?
So any thoughts to share about replacing the 6 micron secondary filter (I have the single spin-on filter conversion) with a 2 micron filter? Would that restrict flow too much?
Been looking through threads trying to find tips on putting an IR light on my A2 but haven't been very successful. Need recommendations on location, wiring, etc. I was looking at putting is on the bumper between the headlight and turn signal and then using the wiring from the blackout driving...
Thanks Guyfang but this is from a Deuce and a half, not a generator (unless I'm confused about what you meant). Great advice. My understanding is that gas is great for cleaning diesel tanks
Ok, gotta jump in here. I know this is an older thread but I just drained my NAPA water separator/fuel filter on my deuce that I got late last July. I'm just getting up to speed with fuel system maint. Never owned a diesel before so the learning curve has been interesting. Here is what...
Kind of reddish brown. while I was pumping it through the clear hose, it looked like Sam Addams beer, maybe not quite as opaque or dark. thoughts? I can't imagine it would be any worse than WMO that people use, especially with filtering twice and using additive. Or am I wrong?
So, fuel experts out there, here is the order of operations so far on 250+ gallons of free fuel oil off of craigslist (10+ years old),
-pumped (unfliltered) out of original tank leaving the bottom 5-10 gallons of sludge/water(?) (opened the petcock until dark fuel oil was coming out before...
My deuce came with the spin-on oil filter upgrade already done and the old system/parts came with it. Was thinking of trying to set the dual filter system up to filter WMO to run in the truck. Most of what I have read suggests 5 micron or less filtration but do the filters for that set up...
