I bought some leather seats out of a Explorer... They mount right up to the m1009 seat brackets. Only problem is they are a bit too high and sit too forward.
I'm trying to get an idea of how to fabricate or modify some brackets so these seats fit a little better.
Has anyone made any custom...
I'm feeling a slight bit of dislike at my opinion.
I'd think a dissenting opinion would be welcome so you could get an idea of how all members feel other than just a blanket approval ... which would let you make a more balanced decision on the matter.
Sure... but really... that makes it a "classifieds and things that don't currently exist" fee.
If you want a forum that generates revenue to support it, charge a membership fee up front.... or call it a "advertising fee"
Or charge a smaller fee to post ads only... I'd pay $5 to do that.
I've been on the site for years and I'd just like to offer my truck for sale to a place/people that are interested in buying an M1009...
Not looking to sell parts or warez.

As far as being "invested" you should just limit posting in the classifieds to members that have posted X number of times... that shows...
ok. I ditched my old walbro and slapped on a new Mr. Gasket pump. I also picked up a pressure tester from HF.
I wasn't able to get any pressure readings on the gauge for a long time... I ended up taking the line off the IP and putting the pressure gauge on it... still no pressure. I spun...
I cannot.
I don't have any sort of pressure gauge.... I have a mini-vac hand vacuum pump.. but I don't think that will help
I can hear the pump clicking like it always has when it is on.
I have an 85 CUCV with about 50k miles.
I just put on a freshly rebuilt IP, new glow plugs, new glow plug relay. I have a spin on filter and an electric lift pump that is on the frame rail mid-truck so it pushes fuel thru the filter to the IP. There is also a one-way valve before the filter...
I am returning from Afghanistan in a few weeks and I'm considering selling my M1009. I love the truck but I think my needs have changed over the last 4 years.
I have no idea what they are going for these days...other than what I've seen on e-bay ($9000 ?!?!).
I'm not certain I'll sell ...
I use the cardboard box that is used to hold the 5 gallon veggie oil jugs. Open it up and cut the bottom flaps off and it fits very well with the top flaps folded over the top of the grill and held in place by the hood.... I get a new one each year.... free is a good price
This happened to me too... and since you need to take the joints apart to "fix" it I found a new replacement for about $30or $40 and put that on and new joints at the same time.
Funny you should ask that.... I was reading about the balancer last week. I get home from Afghanistan in about 20 days and it will be the first thing I check/replace.
I don't run it hard very much... the occasional hard take off from a light.... so hopefully a head gasket wont be in the...
I'm considering doing a rebuild/build-up. 6.2 Buildup
My current setup is an 85 M1009 with either 50k or 150K miles (who really knows) and a Banks turbo added about 2 years ago.
The reason I am considering this is two fold
1. For the experience and project aspect (I can get my sons involved...
