DrGreg, someone said you were around at Iola. Due to vehicle problems I was only there for Sun. Anyway, I would be interested in participating next year. I haven't been up to Fort McCoy in a while and would enjoy going back and feeding the mosquitoes. Will they let us in the CS chamber? I would...
McMaster-Carr has a great selection of filters and the prices are fine. I have a 55 gallon drum of Per lube it is clean. Does any one have any knowledge of this stuff? It is either cutting oil or hydraulic oil. I also have a relatively unlimited source of compressor oil if I want it. Any...
That Sy-Klone looks good. Did you wear out the UPS man yet? If you make a small leg that reaches the bottom of the tank and attach it to your tubing that may work. I would put a viton pad on the bottom for anti-vibration. You could make as many legs as you wanted for copper. Also, don't...
I was able to get the tires off of the rims. They were pretty rusty inside. I am glad I didn't pay someone to do it. Time to clean the rims and paint. I may get the MVT's mounted this weekend! Then pictures.
Rodney is great to deal with. I just bought MVTs from him at Iola. They are really clean 85% or better and the price was less than 175.00 ea w/tubes and flaps. Rodney is a real solid seller, he will tell you what you need and can really do no B.S. I can get you his number if you don't have it.
Akonitony, I wish there was a Lowe's close to me. My choices are Home Depot and Menards. I can go to Farm and Fleet but it would be a 1/2 day shopping experience. It was nice to see you and Treysoucie get back to being constructive. I am going to fab something up today. I have a 4 day weekend so...
I know a few members who have run the big tires on stock rims and they have not had problems. I am glad you stuck to your guns. The truck looks **** good!
I have a 180amp 12v I will be putting in soon. I would love to see some measurements or a good drawing w/specs for the bracket. I am planning on running a 12v fuse block and 2 more batteries. 12v lights are so much easier to replace on the road. I will be running a 12v heater and wipers too. I...
Check out my post OD Green Affliction. My 109 is now a 4x4. I did get a custom drive shaft made for the rear 79" w/a center bearing. You should stick with using the 2.5" wide front springs in the rear. I have to fab up the rest of the plates etc for my 3" wide rear springs. I did not lift my...
Rim breakdown has become a real chore. Air is out of tires but I can't afford the big bar to persuade the ring. Any local help would be appreciated. On a brighter note my plates came. I am going nuts looking at my MVT's w/o rims in them.
The pex tubing should work fine. If you already have copper that is probably the way to go. You can use any type of insulation. I am pretty sure WVO for example needs to be around 150 F for optimal usage. In CA you have a variety of climates depending on where you are. Some one correct me if I...
It is absolutely a great idea to have an appropriate tank for pump diesel!!!! It would not hurt to have it as your obvious "primary" fuel tank. None of us can afford to not pay the road tax. That being said, don't forget about the simple matter of maintaining heat in your fuel once all the work...
