I wouldn't try a transformer, but you could get by with 12 volt Harbor Freight winch hooked to the center of the batteries to get 12 volt. Those winches are great for the money and its not too hard to pull a cable out, just important to have a steady pull.

You really need "soldier #2" to pull out cable while you run the controls on the bed. I have run mine in 2nd or 1st gear, jumped off the bed, pulled cable, then jumped back up and shut it off. BUT I DONT RECOMMEND IT. It's a real job for 2 people, let alone 1.

I once thought about replacing a M35A3 trans with an AT545 from a school bus that had a 366 engine. Allison wanted $6250 to rebuild the original. However I found out that the AT 545 never would have shifted up since the 366 revved much higher than the Cat diesel in the M35A3. I found a used...
Complicated, isn't it! Here there are no notarizations required anymore and we as dealers just reassign the title. That's why some sellers become dealers to make things easier!

Here they would have to get title in their name then sell to the new buyer. It's of course a money thing so the state can collect taxes.

Here that could be termed title jumping if GL actually owned it in the interim. If they are just the seller it may work. Title jumping is illegal here.
Just for your info, after years of getting MIL vehicles inspected in Nebraska in order to get a title from a SF97, I found out that the inspection is not required. I have said for years that it does not make sense to have law inforcement run the Vin thru the NCIC and NCIS crime databases to see...
Congrats on the wrecker purchase. I'm fortunate, on my 8th one, and only one needed major (rod thru the block) repairs. They have made me more money than anything else I have ever done and they are lots of fun.
A diesel engine doesn't have a vacuum source like a gas engine. Therefore vacuum controls like the heater controls are operated from this type of pump. Since a diesel has no distributor, it's a convenient place to mount it and drive it. 7.3 Fords use a similar vac pump. Many of them go bad and...
As a body man, it's the interior of the b pillar but I doubt anyone will ever make them due to low demand. However it's easy enough to just have a good body shop fab a piece to replace any rust. There are situations wherein a professional can make a project the best route to go. I cringe...
