I had a project a few years ago stripping Forestry Fire Shop M35A2's down to a rolling frame with a transfer case. Ride the Ducks bought them at auction, I towed or drove them to my shop then my partner and I prepped them. We stacked them on their lowboy when finished. They built new hulls...
My M936A2 will put out a black cloud enough to half cover the truck till the turbo spools and the truck shoots out from under the fog. That's of course only from a dead stop. Always wondered if its
been turned up by the Army or if they all smoke like that.
I have recovered one that was being unloaded on a side hill and the trailer was icy, the trailer frame broke or was previously broken and broke some more. It slid off sideways and turned over. I am wondering what the loud noises and sudden movements were on this job. Did a hydraulic hose or...
I don't remember the steps to take it apart, just that there are set screws under a lip holding it down. I do remember how really heavy it is. Be careful. Also the well where the assembly rotates seems to have no drain holes, allowing it to fill with water and snow and rust up the ball bearings...

Please realize that changing Vin plates is a very serious Federal crime(how do you think car thieves are able to sell stolen vehicles). Your Blazer will be subject to seizure and impoundment and you could go to jail. A guy near here used to rebuild vw bugs and change the plates and make them...
Google AW Direct or TrucknTow to find a dazzling array of tow lights. The wireless are marvelous but more money. Technically the side lights and the 3 center DOT marker lights are probably required but I have never heard of any one getting a ticket for not having them. Most of our military...
Some older mil vehicles have the shutoff valves the opposite of civilian ones. On a civilian vehicle if the handle on a shutoff valve is aligned 90° to the line it is shut off.
I'm not certain given the way the CUCV charging system is setup if that will work well . Both alternators are 12 volt stock. Also I still say its wise to have a body man show you some rust repair basics.
My best advice as a body shop owner is to find a body man willing to work after hrs who can teach you to do some of the work and he can do the rest. Otherwise you could easily spend $5-10 thousand getting it done right. And if done by some one who thinks he knows how(but doesn't), maybe $3...
