    My M1009, what to do...

A good shop can fix it right but it could cost thousands. Please don't sandblast any flat outside panels with much pressure or you may permanently warp and ruin them. I hate to see a vehicle stripped without a clear repair plan. Too many get abandoned when restoration costs are revealed. By...

    M923A2 Doing 80 MPH!!

I'm curious about the Army (or BMY actually) putting 63 mph on the dash as max on my M936A2 if the 1400x20's have a 55 mph speed rating!!??

    M925 No start.....puzzled!

Rap on the protective control box with a piece of wood or a softblow hammer and see if the solenoid will make contact and allow the engine to crank. Very common problem(solenoid doesn't engage enough to make good electrical flow to crank the engine)

    M925 No start.....puzzled!

An electric fuel shutoff wouldn't prevent the engine from cranking over

    M923A1 losing prime

I believe I would try a thin bead of clear fuel tank repair stuff on it if you can find the crack.

humvee ac kit in the 915a1

I just got my M915A1 a/c operating today. I put it in late last summer and it wouldn't hold a vacuum when I sucked it down. I decided to wait over fall and winter and spring and took it to a friend with more a/c experience. He has seen it before on a new system that has sat too long, drying out...

    5 Ton VIN for SF97?

This is a too young a computer software designer and too young a DMV clerk. They can envision anything being different than what they experience in the newer cars and trucks. Heck I have a truck with a 4 digit SN. All the clerk has to do is override the system to allow a less than 17 digit Vin...

Just back from a trip to Ft Riley to recover a M923. Muffler had the bottom rusted completely out. It was 86° today and added to the exhaust heat we got 5 plastic airlines so hot they blew a hole in them and we lost our air. Got about 6 mpg, 10 mp 3/8 hose and about 20 mp1/2 hose. 2 trips to the...

Dorman oil cooler lines in depth Review

I tried 2 different ones from NAPA and they were total Chinese garbage. The engine end was flared so poorly it wouldn't let the nut threads even start. After carefully filing the end smaller I found the but threads were incorrect too. I made some up with good oil resistant hose!

Water leak at top of M1009 doors

Try loosening the top hinge and tip the top of the door in slightly. Use something like a dollar bill closed in the door top to gauge things with. It should be a firm pull but not tear the dollar bill
