Those assembly’s sure do command a pretty penny. What changed after 84? I would imagine a hydraulic throw out bearing would be the best setup and most pedals could be made to work with that.

What do you plan to do for pedals? Curious about this swap my self.

I’m I would get a break down of the parts and labor that go into that price. Are they going to remove and install the transmission for you? Or are you bringing it to them?

I have a fluidampr on the way, the part stores in my area show them in stock and when they try to ship from the manufacturer the order gets canceled a week later. After two attempts I need to do the sure thing to get the truck on the road in a reasonable amount of time.

My balancer is visibly wobbling I don’t want to drive the truck like that out of concern for doing serious damage. I really don’t want to wait for something to be in stock. I’m probably going to end up going with the fluidampr simply because it’s available. Hoping to get some bonus performance...

I won’t need to worry about air getting into the fuel system?

My new to me truck came with an aftermarket fuel filter that has a little petcock at the bottom to drain. should I be cracking this drain periodically to check for water? Will doing so introduce air into my fuel system? Should I crank the engine while doing so or just let gravity work

Thanks for the tip, an H pipe wouldn’t be a bad mod and may even gain a little power. I really mostly am concerned with achieving a lower highway RPM while keeping up with traffic.

Ok new thought… a built 700r4 from a reputable company is about $2500 when you include the core charge. I would also need a new torque converter. the price is now creeping towed gear vendors pricing. Granted the GV would require a shortened drive shaft. But this makes the choice less obvious...
