ABS was a huge pain in the ass to develop on the Hummer H1. It required quite a few changes to meet the FMVSS beginning in model year 1999. They sold it as a benefit with TorqTrac 4 labels, an electric traction control. Brake throttle modulation was no longer possible to the extent it could...
All I can say is that they were on mine. But they were a tight press fit and pliers were involved to squeeze them on far enough to be able to latch. But it allows me to get the better wiper designs including winter specific wipers, and greatly increased the chances that I could drop by Advance...
Just my quick advice in passing, skip the military wiper arms and buy civvy H1 arms. You'll be able to use more blade types then.
I'll refrain from saying anything else until more details come out.
A lot of the box stores won't replace the glass if you don't buy it from them. They cite warranty issues.
The glass is not particularly difficult to replace, you just have to go slow and NEVER force anything. I've cracked 1 of 3 that I've installed.
Check HummerPartsGuy. He had them fairly...
As I understand it, you are correct.
My statement was meant to mean that any truck made for the USMC was supposed to have the deep fording switch. Not that all M1123s made for the USMC were supposed to. If that distinction makes sense.... :)
Yeah, I think you'll be good. :)
My wife is from Clifton, so I'm up there often. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before emissions requirements are state wide, with the way things are moving.
I guess my first response would be that it doesn't matter what the person on the phone says. I've learned that the hard way too many times.
But secondly, from what you are saying then the HMMWV should be exempt since it was not required to be OBDII compliant.
That said, the only places...
Okay, so I wanted an M1123 because:
- Upgraded steering components
- Upgraded suspension components - although the uparmored suspension REALLY sucks. It is way too rigid.
- CTIS capable.
- 6.5L optimizer which can be pulled from the Humvee and placed in my '82 Suburban, in theory with a side...
I think you're making good points, and a bit of it is Chicken vs the Egg. Personally, I wouldn't purchase any of the other kits either. For the same reason that I'm weary of this one AND the outrageous cost of the others.
I prefer known problems as opposed to unknown problems. I think this...
I'm in the same boat as Sintorion.
But I'll ask some questions of things I don't know.
1) Which direction does the coolant flow out of the engine? Does it flow from the T-stat into the radiator?
2) Where is the temperature sensor that is controlling the glow plugs located in this flow?
3)...
There's no reason to recreate the entire wheel. Just make an extension and bolt/rivet/weld it all the way down the door so it is a rigid door. And then move the hinges to the end of that new door. No problems!
You could probably sell those doors for $500. It would likely take only $200 to...
I have the same door. But no panel. I plan on making the aluminum plate to lengthen the door and either bolt, rivet, or weld it to the door as an extension. Then duplicate the hinge mounting slots.
I want a full size door, so I'm going to make it one.
Memorial Day weekend with my niece:
About 2,000 lbs of concrete in the back this weekend. It was actually a comfortable ride afterwards, but MAN I need a turbo in this thing:
