Personally, I don't buy the logic that the rear being hotter after the install is a good thing.
The point of the system was to move heat from the rear because the rear didn't have enough flow...
Something is odd there, IMO.
We often talk about the 92 and 93 Hummer H1 is nearly identical to the HMMWV. The attached says it can tow 9,000 lbs. Keep in mind, the military rates it for off-road towing weights, hence the lower number. And the bumpers are different. Just my observations...
Can't upload the image from...
I haven't actually gotten a chance to open this up. Is there a bulb in the assembly that can easily be changed out? Is there one in the transfer case indicator as well? Are they all fiber optic?
BA9s style bulb?
Look, I've been on other forums where new people ran off knowledgeable, high contributors. The knowledge that RWH has given in numerous threads has been extremely valuable to the community.
I'm pleading with you (and others) to have some respect and not treat this like Reddit.
I’ll offer a different (maybe) take on this subject…
If I could have purchased a more common, simpler vehicle with a longer production period for cheaper, I would have. I’m not here because the vehicle happens to have been in the military. I’m here because the vehicle was only available from...
This is AM General's wraparound heavy duty brushguard, I WISH I had made something like it.
I ended up having to cut up the teardrop brackets and custom spacer blocks to make it fit.
:naner:
Still no word from the DMV.
Added an AM General wraparound heavy duty brushguard today. Much plasma cutting, grinding, and custom parts making required.
Just curious if anyone knows. I'm looking to do some designs and potentially welding to doors, body, etc. It'd be good to know which aluminum alloy it is so I know which products to use.
Does anyone know the part number for the left and right closeout panels on the smaller rear half doors?
I'm talking about the panel that bolts to the hinge bolt holes on the B-pillar and replicates the same hinge a little further back to the rear wheel.
In the picture below, it's the panel on...
Electrical stuff is crazy.
As of this morning, I had 4 electrical lighting problems. Almost all intermittent.
1) Brake lights functioning erratically.
2) Front left marker light not functioning, sometimes.
3) Hazards stay on fully. Sometimes. Likewise turn signals would act strange.
4)...
Oh, of course! A lot of the troubleshooting has been during the day, and I've had to come up with some interesting tactics. Once I hung my sunglasses in a tree so I could see the lights in the reflection. And once I put my phone on the ground leaning against a bottle with the screen facing me...
After replacing and adjusting the switch, the problem went away. I tested it a few nights after replacement and it seemed to be doing well. Then I noticed that with the light switch on Stop Light, there was a dim glow from the brake lights. I figured the switch was out of adjustment and...
If this was recently purchased, it takes some time to get paperwork from GP after the EUC has been approved. The EUC approval usually kicks them off to start the SF97 process. From their perspective, there's no need to transfer ownership until they know you can own it, so that's why that...
What document do you have that says you own the car?
If you have no SF97 and no title and no bill of sale and no serial number... the DMV will likely put you through the ringer because it might be a stolen vehicle.
If they have a hard time with the 6 digit serial number being your VIN, some...
