I've been looking at some of the auctions in Jacksonville and I'm wondering if anyone could make a pickup. (no vehicles, mil surplus type auctions). I can't get down until the weekends so I'm looking for a little help.
Bob
Had a great time this weekend, finally got everything packed up and got home about 3 yesterday. Saturday was wet, we covered and uncoverd the for sale stuff 4 times on Saturday.
Picked up a few things, Gimpy, nice new top, just missed a WWII paratrooper pull cart, sold a lot of stuff.
Sunday...
My vendor spot will have my 105 trailer in it and a pup tent set up in the front.
Stop by, I'll have shade and a couple extra chairs.
If there is room to bring an extra soft top I am interested in one.
See you there and try to make the convoy to the pizza shop.
Bob
I will be there Friday through Sunday. I have a vendor spot and will have the Deuce and my M151 at the show.
Garandman: This show is at a really nice campground, outdoor and indoor pools, nice facilities etc.
We will be doing a convoy to the town of Sunbury, Friday and Saturday night for pizza...
I went and looked at the trucks tonight, one is a 2 1/2 ton, M275 A2, excellant condition with 1974 miles on it. Mfg 1966
The other truck is a 10 ton, 6x6, M123E2 w/ dual winches.
It was built 1/9/69 and has 2679 miles on it.
Both trucks started right up and sound good.
I have pictures that...
Just talked to a guy over the weekend that says he has 2 tank retrievers. That is all he knows. I will be looking at them later this week and will get pics and as much info as I can.
He does want to sell them, Is there any interest for this type of vehicle?
He did say they run and the winches...
June 20th, Rally on the Square in Sunbury Ohio, benefiting the Fallen Heroes Memorial. This is a pretty good time. They have a parade from the Harley Dealership at Rt37 and I-71, 4:00 pm 4 miles to the Memorial then on into the square. Music, Military vehicles and Displays all evening.
I'll be...
I'll be there all weekend, I have a vendor spot mid way down the outside vendors row. I'll have 2 rust/orange tents set up lots of surplus type stuff for sale.
I'm not bringing the deuce, but I am bringing the M151.
See you there,
Bob Croce
I'll have an outside vendors spot all weekend, midway down the outdoor vendors line. I'll have a couple of rust/orange tents set up.
I'm not bringing the deuce, but I am bringing my M151.
Stop by and say hi.
See you there.

Jim,
I should have the tags for mine in about a week, you can borrow them and go get your truck. I borrowed a friends temp tags and went to get mine.
Heck, just where some BDU's and look official and nobody will mess with you anyway.
Bob
Perfect timing on this subject, I was just coming on to find out what replacement batteries to get and here I get to beat on my existing ones. Out friggin standing, I'll post how it goes. My batteries are in perfect condition except they are dead.
Bob
When I picked up my truck at Ft Knox on the 6th there were about 50 really nice ones sitting there, all destined for foreign sales.
I wouldn't wait too long, if you see a nice one you want I'd buy it.
They probably won't get any cheaper in the next year.
Well we made it back, 272 miles with only a couple of gliches.
I'll elaborate in a new post tomorrow and add pictures.
14 hours total, there and back.
My butt is tired!!
Just got back from NAPA, it seems the Deuce takes more fluids than an M151...
Got my fuel filters and a bunch of other stuff on the list. Going to grab dinner and load the chase vehicle.
Good luck tomorrow, 272 miles home for me.
Bob
Tomorrow is the day, heading to Ft Knox. Leaving Columbus at 0500, gathered all, or as much as i could of the checklist.
Heading to NAPA on the way home to pick up my filters and some additional fluids.
I'll post pictures and a narrative on Saturday. Wish us luck!!
Bob
Ok, I spent 15 -20 minutes searching and can't find the cross reference numbers for primary, secondary fuel filters, final fuel, oil and air filters from NAPA.
I'm heading to Knox on Friday to pick up my Deuce and want to have the filters available. Can someone post the info needed or direct me...
I'll be in New Orleans over the weekend and wondering if there are any Deuce owners in the area?
I'm organizing the work our OSU/Church mission team will be doing the end of March.
Lets grab a beer and talk Steel.
Bob
I'm heading down from Columbus on the morning of the 6th of March. I'm planning on being there when Joe opens the gates at 8:00 am. I will have some buddies with me, 2 that know how to drive these things and we are driving to just north of Columbus.
We could do a convoy up I-71 and provide...
