    GA CUCV Recovery

Wait light comes on but goes off quickly, say 2-3 seconds. Temp was in the high 50s yesterday in SC. Even cycled several times. Water in Fuel light stays on despite repeated draining of the new filter. Will water and diesel separate into two phases or appear merky? The fuel coming out...

    GA CUCV Recovery

It took forever to get it started. I replaced the fuel filter and bled the lines. Got good, clean diesel coming out. It was a warm (60s) day and the starter was really spinning but it would not catch. Any suggestions?

    Recovery Suggestions

I am headed to GA next week to recover a 1985 M1009 CUCV I purchased. A few weeks ago, I was able to get it started and drive it a few short miles to my Dad's house to await my return. I have decided to trailer it back to SC. It has sat for a long time prior to my purchase and was out of...

    M1009 Door Adjustment

Fantastic! You will probably have to adjust the door latch mechanism with the three screws. Maybe not. You can also buy the bolts with the sleeves already on if your old bolts are really beat up; under ten bucks. Let us know if it helps.

    M1009 Door Adjustment

Do the striker bolts have the white plastic sleeves? A pack of four will run you under 5 bucks at Autozone. Take the bolts off and slide the new ones on. Greatly helped my doors.:)
