Price?
The only thing they have not said is the retail price for these re-power engines. Ive attempted to get a quote several times but they have not responded yet. Still waiting. I see guesses from $8K to $17K!
It is good to hear they have been reliable. They are lighter then anything close...
It's Running Again!
Thanks SGSC-G4 for the offer. I ended up installing the tube into the engine until it started tightening up, turned it back just enough to get the top of the tube away from me and pulled slightly (pretty hard) until it was straight. I only pulled once and could not feel...
Thanks for the responses. I took it apart last night again and found what looks like a bent tube on one of the filters so I will attempt to straighten it today and go from there. I have access to a replacement if necessary but a good drive away from home to get it. The base was/is clean and...
Guys,
I finally got around to draining the oil in my M35 today and installed the new seals that came with the filters. The old were rubber and the new were fiber. They fit in the outside groove fine and looked pretty much like the ones that came out. I put oil in and fired her up and blew...
Nice Seats!
Sharecropper, Nice Seats and floor! I just picked up a 1991 V1500 Suburban with a bench seat in the front and I miss the buckets of my 1988 V10 Suburban. I'm now looking for a set of seats like this. Nice job. How is the back coming along? ballencd
I hung my tag on 1" wide webbing from the top of the ceiling inside the tailgate window. One year out of 18 I was asked where my light was when getting it inspected and told them I never had a light. I failed that inspection so I installed a light and ran the wire down to the trailer hitch...
What happened to the military tires???
If I missed it in the thread I apologize but I was wondering why you changed the wheels and tires from the 20"??
I used to use a Coleman stove on low for a few hours under a cold Chevy 350 when the temps got down to single digits and it worked every time. Also pulled the battery and brought it inside over night too which seemed to help.
I have 35-12.5R15 on my M1009 and they fit and run fine with no lift or mods. I also have 35-10.5R15 on my 1988 V10 Suburban and they fit and run fine with no mods.
Looks like I wait for the PTO powered solution. I have plans for a hydro winch in the future anyway. Just trying to speed it up but not at the expense of having to replace the pump in short order. Meanwhile, I will keep charging the battery from house current. Thanks
When I converted my bobbed M35 to a dump I installed a 12V hoist pump (on one battery) since I could not find a 24V pump at the time. (the pump was included in the kit) I have had pretty good luck with it but when I am busy moving dirt I run the one battery down and have started charging the...
What about an extension to clear radiator and mount pump to frame. I
have a m35 wo/w, but have a winch and PTO that came from another M35.. I have also bobbed the truck and put a dump kit on it and the 12V pump is a pain to use. I would like to convert the winch to hyd and use the same pump for...
How about some pictures of the winch converted to hydraulic? I.E. Hyd motor on the winch as mounted on stock bumper extensions......is there room for a motor? Has it been done with a shaft between motor and winch? Fabrication required? What motor was used? Inquiring minds want to know. I have a...
I installed a Scotts Level Lift on my bobbed deuce also but could not find a 24V pump. Where did you find the 24V version? I am running the 12V off one battery and it is difficult to keep it charged if I am working it hard. I normally end up connecting a charger to it plugged into land power...
