Aftermarket gauge cluster for the squarebody vehicles??

The CUCV uses 12 volts in everything except the glow plugs and the starter. The dash is identical to a M1008, M1009....etc. It's still a square body Chevy.

Aftermarket gauge cluster for the squarebody vehicles??

Has anyone used the Dakota Digital (RTX/HDX), New Vintage USA or Classic Instrument gauge clusters designed for the Chevrolet/GM Squarebody vehicles? I'm specifically updating my 1991 V1500 Suburban with bad odometer, incorrect speedometer and no tachometer and wanting to update to have all...

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

What's the reason you test fit with Aluminum but went with steel for new gauge panel? Inquiring minds want to know. Looking really good! What have you done with your old engine?

    1983 M35A2C Brake Fluid Disappears

Not modified that much I guess. It's a lot easier to steer this way.

    1983 M35A2C Brake Fluid Disappears

I'm thinking airpac since I don't see any fluid. I'm not really sure where the airspace is or what it does but I will figure it out. If it was at the MC it would stay full or leak somewhere and be visible, would it not? The brakes work fine until I am out of fluid and when I fill it back up...

    1983 M35A2C Brake Fluid Disappears

I will look and see. The truck has not been modified other then bobbing it and adding a dump kit so it will probably still be connected to the air cleaner if that was the way it was built. If vented there, I would guess, it could get sucked into the engine and burn, without me knowing about...

    1983 M35A2C Brake Fluid Disappears

Beastmaster: I like your attitude. Ive ignored mine for a long time but it is now needing a fix as it goes to the floor fairly quickly and i'm needing to move some dirt. 98G: If into the air pack where is the fluid going? Just stays in there? Any way to verify this is where it is? I have...

    1983 M35A2C Brake Fluid Disappears

My truck has recently started leaking brake fluid but I can't find out where it is coming from. I had a very small leak for a few years but only enough to need more fluid every year or so. For those who are going to yell SAFETY!!!!......I use it in my yard only and I have never had any trouble...

    Show Me Your Campers!

Sorry, That was directed to twa@ezdn.net from post #7. I've been looking for something to use for external skin on a camper and haven't had any luck so far and the PVC idea looked promising. I was thinking that the stuff they use on 18 wheeler trailers was PVC but it might be fiberglass???

Can you supply a manufacturer and name of that PVC product?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

UOS - Used Old Stock UOS is Used Old Stock. The gearbox is the 90 degree drive adapter to turn the tach cable into the front of the engine. I was lucky to have a friend that had a spare because I did not take it apart enough to find the broken drive until I was ready to install the new cable...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

And why wouldn't you just fix the brush guard and move on. I had the same thing happen to me about 15 years ago. I was the fourth vehicle through a green light and a guy running the other direction, in town for a funeral, in a rented car, never slowed down. I saw it just in time and slammed...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

New cables I installed my new tachometer cable and UOS gearbox on my bobbed truck. It's been almost 2 years but she still starts right up. I also replaced the 5 ton parking brake cable with one for a 2.5 ton! Only 10700 miles on the truck that I've had for 21 years.

Looks to me like there is a headache rack on the front of that bed. Not sure how that equates to losing a foot of bed???

Just purchases M1123, need hauling advice.

I'm with you Coug. I would much rather put the load on a flatbed then pull a trailer 1800 miles. The last idea by DREDnot looks good to me. You could 1) roll the M1123 onto the back of the flatbed from a) loading dock b) ramps or 2) side load with a big forklift. A few blocks of wood or jack...
