Thanks in advance for any info you can find. CF.
I will be headed to the Rally on Friday morning from Coosa, GA (near Rome). I will probably have another SS member from Huntsville, AL following me. I am meeting my niece and hopefully another SS member in Marietta. You are welcome to convoy with us. That would be way cool. My niece lives in...
Very nice truck sir. I am on the fence about the tires but they do make it look very aggressive. I like the black interior, much better than the burgundy. Nice photo essay of the build. Very well documented for our viewing pleasure. I wish I could afford the rear disc, sweet conversion, maybe...
I really wasn't asking for tips, more of a "Don't do this" tip. I chewed it up pretty bad in places. Thanks for the Scott's referral though, I have always liked their products.
I suspect I may have a cracked flex plate myself. I developed a tapping noise in my M1008, then it graduated to a loud scraping and knocking. I could hear it echoing off the wall on the expressway, it was so loud. I took the inspection cover off the tranny and found scrape marks on the cover...
Lawn Care Tip - Don't Do This!
I have found that a half way decent lawn and a CUCV with rear lockers simply don't mix. It seems that every time I drive across the lawn, the CUCV leaves tracks in the grass where ever I go. If I turn really sharp, it really digs into the lawn. I guess I wont be...
I'll be leaving out of Coosa, Georgia on Friday morning. Coosa is near Cedar Bluff, AL. I am about 100 miles from Huntsville. PM me, maybe we could ride together. I will be making a stop to pick up my niece along the way, probably in Marietta. You are welcome to tag along. I ALWAYS travel with a...
I googled this recall number and called the Chevy dealer and got the same results. They said it was an engine wiring harness recall on Buick's. The dealer also said my VIN did not have any open recalls. My M1008 was made 7/85. Darn, I was hoping to get free oil cooler lines.
Looks like me and my niece will be there sometime on Friday. I just recently contracted the MV disease, they say it is highly contagious. I am looking forward to the Rally. I already got a hall pass from my sweetie. She's not coming. She thinks my truck is ugly so I really don't think I should...
It does now and I've got a splitting headache for some reason. I was gonna ask why my CUCV has a hole in the roof but I think it has something to do with the red button. Better get out the TM again.
So...what is the red button for? I pushed it the other day and the drivers seat, with me in it ended up in the pasture about 100 yards from the truck. Could it be an "Eject Button" maybe? I'll look in the TM, it will probably tell me what it's for.
Well, there you have it. I don't really want to be hunted down like a fugitive.
I've heard that if I make it through the hazing period in the first couple weeks of membership, the rest is downhill. This will only hurt for a little while, they said.
Boba Fett is my fifth cousin on my daddy's grandpa's dog's side of the family, I think. Never met him but I think he'll be at the reunion three weeks from next august if it doesn't rain.
I wonder if this is the guy from the "Adult Beverage" store I frequent in Rome, er......I meant ride by occasionally. He was talking about trying to get permits for such a thing one day when I "rode by" there. This is pretty close to the house. I'll have to check it out.
Thanks wreckerman, I will look you up if I get your way. Question> I added a signature line on my profile and saved it but it is not showing up on my post. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions?
Hi from Coosa, Georgia. I have been browsing the threads for a week or so and I figured I should introduce myself. My name is Chris Fett. I live about 15 miles west of Rome, Georgia in a small community called Coosa, right on the Alabama line. I actually have a Rome address but I don't live...
