:ditto: I have never seen the filter before and if I remeber rigth on a M151 that should be a vacum pump there if it had a pump in the tank I know the A2 mutts had a pump there but had the filter on the carb. That might be somthing from a diffrent country.
I think the truck with more pep probly had the IP truned up to compinsate for the extra weigtht which would cause more fuel to be injected in to the engine and give you a hotter engine temp. that what I think

Well good luck getting a M551 the Museum i belong to has been trying to get one for a long time and its all most impossible the gov. is eather useing them as tergets or dumping them in the ocean.

Is pretty easy to install one It all bolts in. You do need a engine lift or something to pick the winch up with. I did it by myself in a weekend. Not sure about price but ive heard they go for about $1000.00 to $1500.00
