I kind of had a similar problem, but I did 2 things and it has been fine ever since. I had a leak at the HH so I replaced the 2 o-rings, and I had a dead in tank pump so I swapped it with another pump that worked. I am not sure which fixed the issue, since they were both done about the same time.
Do it! I love mine :) I picked up 2 m105 trailers and will swap my current 105 bed for one of the ones I just picked up (they are nicer) then start on paint :) I say go for it!

I was going to add another piece, which is much thicker wall, from the bottom axle mount area all the way up to the shackle mount area. Essentially the current bottom link will act as the axle side brace, I will put another one toward the front end. I should be able to do it this weekend...
If the modification doesn't work I will be starting over from scratch and will use mounts like Randydirt has which I can make the lower mount just under the axle.

Do you mean run the lower bracket under the axle housing? Right now it is at the bottom when mounted to the front of the housing.
If I end up rebuilding everything, I will try to get more distance between the two mounting points on the axle housing.
Ok I tested mine out. It worked beautifully while in 2wd in thick sand until....I climbed a small dune and bent the longside pipe. Schedule 40 that long will bend :) It isn't bent much, just a slight bend, but when it happened it started to wheel hop a little. Not nearly as bad as the wheel...
