I thought of doing something similar to that since I didn't think there was very much articulation in the springs, and since it isn't like I am going to go rock crawling. Do you get any bind in that setup?
The rear actually articulates alot more then I ever thought it would, could be since it...
Yeah just one side and yep, the lift block sure doesn't help. Neither do the m105 springs and the 16.00R20 XZLs :) So far these seems to have fixed it, but won't know for sure till I get it in the thick stuff.
Some more pics at http://fmvowners.com/index.php/topic,39.0.html, I will try to...
Umm, no, it is a single bar, with two mounting points on the axle and a shackle mount to the frame. Ladder bars are fixed on all 3 points and are for race cars.
I was getting pretty bad wheel hop in the sand so I decided to build an anti wrap link setup.
The pic is kind of bad, I need to take another one. Haven't tested it out yet (in sand) but so far just driving it around seems a little more crisp on the throttle, but that could all be in my head :)
Another reason people use the M105 for bob jobs is not just the bed, but also for the springs, hangers and shackles. With a M105 trailer you have everything you need to bob a deuce.
Cool that is good info to know. I knew where it was leaking since I could see it squirting out on both sides where the head mounts to the pump. Got it fixed, thanks everyone for the help!
Any idea how to line that gear up? I have tried turning and pulling up, at pretty much every spot the head will spin. Tried wiggling it, etc.
Thanks for the input on what it is, I will start searching :)
I don't know what it is called so it was hard to search for. I looked through the TMs but didn't see it, though I could of passed over it.
It is on top of the injection pump where the fuel lines to the injectors go. I have taken off the 4 nuts, pulled the injector lines off and any other line...
Well you found someone then :) I have done this sort of thing for many companies, on my site RamchargerCentral.Com - Index - Online Dodge Truck & SUV Community for all Mopar - Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, Cummins and Jeep owners. we have a How To section where we do this very thing. Take pics...
I am interested in the price, and if other size kits (smaller) would be available. I run 53s on my bobbed duece with no lift and no issues, but I think another 3" would look pretty good.
When I searched after seeing that there was already one (I searched before obviously but only checked the first 5 results), it was #9 for me, with mine being #1.
The 5 I checked were completely unrelated, if the top 5 aren't close people will tend to think the rest aren't either since it should...
Well the bonus of having more then one thread for a particular question or issue is the likeliness that new members will find it easier. The search here isn't all that great, especially when there might be only 1 thread about the topic.
That is what I figured, but was hoping it wasn't that heavy. Guess I will use an A frame to lift it. If it was more like 500lb wouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the input guys.
Anyone know the approx weight of just the bed of a M105 trailer?
I want to do some repairs to the underside of a bed and was wondering if it would be too heavy to a couple of guys to pick up and flip over (detached from the frame of coarse).
