Curtain to floor sealing
Looking for ideas to keep the draft out on my 2 man soft top rear curtain. I can't be the only one that ever tried to address the situation. Besides going with an artic top kit or an application of duct tape how do you military guys or anybody for that matter ,seal up...
Congratulations M35A2-AZ,your truck is truly the best . Even though I didn't get any votes I feel very honored that I was even allowed to enter my homemade Humvee.
Dr, I would probably be nervous If I was rigging the truck to a Chinook. But seriously ,I welded some tabs on the back that also bolt to the frame.
Thanks Kansasbobcat , I've probably got 6 hours fab time in just the bumper. Not counting the trip to the local sheriffs dept. to measure an actual factory bumper. Ahab, Patracy is correct on the tag cover.
Thought I should post a small spec list of my truck. Ford 300 straight 6 engine ,np435 transmission,np205 transfercase, dana 44 front axle, dana 60 rear axle, hmmwv top, doors, windshield frame, hood, wheels and tires and a few other misc. hmmwv parts. The rest of the body was scratch built out of...
Another behr paint job made possible by this thread and the paint and bodywork section. Thanks to everyone that has ever contributed info on the subject.
Thanks Tony, The dimensions are mostly identical with the real thing . I was able to measure a sheriffs dept hmmwv and combined with some hmmwv parts I had made my own crude drawings. Most major body parts will interchange with a real Humvee. I'm not finished with the truck ,Still have...
Thanks again to everyone for the positive comments! Also thanks for allowing me to post pics of a homemade (non military) vehicle. I had read about at least some interest in this sort of thing in the threads on this site and hoped a few of you would enjoy a few photographs. For...
Thanks, for all the comments. The engine is a ford 300 straight 6 attached to a np435 4 speed and 205 transfer case. Had to move the engine and tranny back severel inches ,also lowered the combo in the frame.
I like your comment emr. I started this project last year when I purchased a couple of top kits really cheap from a
SS member. Later I read on this site that Patracy was thinking about a similar project,he even started a hmmwv blueprints thread. I'm not sure what happened to his...
