I think unless you have a surplus outlet nearby these will have to be ordered. We have 2 outlets near here, one sells clothes, and pocket knifes, and the other has the real deal. ( truck beds, snatch blocks, radios, etc...)
Might as well order several of both male and female as they are...
If we take a close look at a modern vehicle, All the doors have double sets of weather striping, Their is dampening on the inside of the panels, the hood top, the roof top, etc. Then there is a layer of felt also in a lot of spots to help with noise. Don't forget all the firewall...
So, not to Hijack this thread, and being a newb; (bear with me) It looks like the bottom dog bones keep the axels tied to each other, and keep all the weight from being on one wheel (self equalizing). And the top dog bones prevent the axels from twisting under torque from the driving force...
Nice selection, except for the "donut", you know the one they give you after the hernia surgery, to sit on; after an X hour drive, is the correct time to apply said device.
Not to p@@p on anyone’s cheerios. But don’t forget that HP = torque x rpm / 5252.
That is why a motorcycle engine makes ~ 150 hp @ 12000 rpm. Or a model airplane engine "makes" 4.6 hp @ 22,000 rpm. But either engine will not move a deuce unless it has ALOT of gearing options.
I would be...
Anything worth doing, is worth doing right! I would resurface the flywheel, new throwout bearing, seals, pucks, disks, etc. Getting to the point your at is 7/8 of the battle.
It depends on the Center Of Gravity of the truck, fuel, people and cargo load. (Anything above the axels, divided by the wheel width? -- I don’t know the formula, someone WAY smarter then me will have to help here)
I'm thinking an equilateral triangle, with the load at the top point, and the...
Not positive on the piston cracking, but on 4 stroke, 2 valve, air cooled, motorcycle engines; their is a phenomenon known to cause cracking between the intake and exhaust valves. The way Kevin Cameron (cycle world editor) explained it, was that the repeated heating and cooling if the...
The back of the Cat 3116 is an SAE #2 flange. There is one guy on here that replaced his auto w/ a 5 speed from an A2. Not sure who it was, someone will chime in I'm sure.
Less rust, and mechanical condition would be the seller for myself. I would also have no use for a hole in the roof. A tarp and bows IS nice in our neck of the woods, but I wouldn't buy one over the other just because of that.
Nice find, and a nice list of Rides. That m37 is much nicer than the one down the block from us. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for her. PM of course.
