I've got Rhino Liner in my civy K5 Blazer. LOVE IT.
If you can get a product similar in thickness, durability, and quality as Rhino Liner for $150 JUMP ON IT. If it's something like Herculiner then no, not worth it. I paid $500 to have mine done and I got a good price because I had done a...
Proof?
(You won't find any.)
What he said.
I thought it was 5/8 ton anyway?
The military just rates these trucks by their actual rating and not their "marketing" rating. Do you really think a 1986 half ton truck can't haul more than a 1958 half ton truck? What about today with a F150 being...

...welcome. One of the best mods I did. However you definitely want to use longer and better bolts than the piddly little screws they sell them with.
As for the seats, you can put anything in there. There's several threads about this going on right now over on Colorado K5 -...
The CUCV is definitely in the twilight of it's life. However base use in Iraq and Afghanistan has increased their usefullness again. So the military that 10-15 years ago was selling off perfectly good ones deemed "surplus to requirements" is now holding on to every single good one they have...
Can a mod edit this thread so the title doesn't say m38inmain still has CDR valves and his paypal and info isn't displayed?
Seems like since he doesn't have any more perhaps the folks who might have some should start their own threads and this one can die off.
Eh, to me it seems like common sense but I've met tire shop guys who went, "back...spacing...wha?" when I asked them about it.
Guy on here also learned the hard way last year by just buying a set of 16x8's and finding out the 5" of backspacing screwed him all up.
Also seen too many people do...
Only difficulty might be in the fact that 17" wheels will probably usually have backspacing meant for later IFS trucks. You'll want to find a set of rims with 3.5-4" or so worth of backspacing. Probably a 17x8 or 17x9. Also make sure they have a big enough center hole for the front hubs to...
They're okay shocks. Generic twin tube nitrogen charged shocks. Actually the same shock as Superlift/Skyjacker/Tough Country/Trail Master/etc all run as their nitrogen charged shock. Different paint and stickers. Better than a hydraulic shock though.
I'd run NAPA's HD truck shocks before I...
For the record guys, especially in a CUCV, I wouldn't do switched on any of this and I almost wouldn't bother with the fuse box.
-It took me forever to find the proper GM fuse box taps to use when I put the stereo and lighter in. In 2007 NAPA could get them but to find them we had to dig...
What jimm said and there's also the diamond shaped thingy near the master cylinder on the d-side of the firewall. 12v in and 12v out. I've run a bunch of constant 12v wires off of that on both of my Chevy's.
