Interesting. Thinking on it more, when I removed the neg cable I did tuck it under the battery hold down bracket to keep it outta the way. Perhaps it was touching the hold down and was still grounding. But still with the pos removed it shoulda been dead. I'm going to play with it again later...
Thing is, wire A is the negative wire that goes straight down thru the floor and wire B is the positive wire that goes straight down thru the floor. Are these not essentialy the same as the pos and neg wires under the hood of my car? There was a single jumper wire left, #569 IIRC, that feeds...
Took my M925 to a car show today. I decided to unhook the batteries to prevent any problems like kids trying to start it or turning on my blower fan and running down the batteries. And therein I ran into trouble. I disconnected wire A and fully expected this to kill the truck. Nope everything...
I too just used all that info to fix my passenger door. Awesome write up, thanks! For me there was no need to remove the window or window mech as per the TM. I just rolled the window all the way up and squeezed my skinny arm in there to reinstall (it falls right out on removal). I too...
I know, kinda lame of me but boy did it cause my heart to race! I'm new to a MV's and new to my M925 but not new to driving. I was running an errand in the middle of the work day (brought my truck to work just because) and on the way back I heard and felt the engine kinda stumble and then...
I was considering adding a quick link or two. Prolly require two, one to replace the link I cut and another for the extra length. A little paint and no one will know. That'll least do until I learn how to weld.
How long's your chain that holds up your rear dropside (tailgate) on your cargo bed? Is it (they) long enough to allow your tailgate to sit horizontal if latched that way? Mine could be a little longer :| It's a link or two too short of allowing my tailgate to lay flat (flush) with my bed...
Thanks MtnSnow! Placement isn't an issue, mostly curious what they go to since they are not on the placard under the seat. I bet something to do with an MWO, perhaps the ABS?
I was also wondering the same thing about my 569 wire, thanks everyone. With that mystery solved I have another one (two) for you guys. The first is labeled GND A and the second looks kinda rigged as it has a yellow store bought connector on the ends. Any ideas what these go to?
LOL, no, those are warning stripes to let us know we're approaching a school zone, crosswalk, stop sign or other. They are not used everywhere, just some places. I find it ironic that we put stripes on the road that are designed to draw your attention down and away from the warning signs they...
Also, help us understand the reason for the 1" or so bump out (or zig-zag) on the brackets. It looks like the lights would fit without the bump out, no?
What fantastic work! Well done! What was your thinking on the length of the three lights? I know you can't buy an 8' bar, but why two short and one long as opposed to three equal length? Did you consider the cost maybe? Where did you get the lights? And would you consider fabbing just the...
It was great to meet some fellow SS members and MV fans! I had a blast on my first outing with my new truck. Thanks Warthog for getting me the bed bows, I gotten many compliments on my camo netting. Here's a few more pics.
So I'm trying to trouble shoot my winch. My TM 9-2320-272-24-1 is incomplete in that the malfunction check for the winch is listed as test 59 but part 2of4 only goes to test 47 and part 3of4 doesn't pick up where the other left off. Anyway, besides being broken into 5 parts and being newer is -...
