The elections I guess will happen around week 11 for you. I don't think you'll have it by then, but you might get lucky!
I'm expecting mine (which went "pending approval" a week after yours) to happen right around T-Giving. I'll be pleasantly surprised if I get it earlier, but T-Giving is...
When did it go "pending"? You probably just passed the 8 week period, and the auctions clearly state that it will take 8-12 weeks for an EUC to clear. Some appear to be taking 12-16 weeks.
My EUC went pending 8/23, so I'm just entering the 8th week and I'll be excited each and every...
Understood. When I talked to a GovPlanet customer service rep yesterday afternoon, she made it seem like I'd be getting a GA title at no cost and made it sound like that was maybe the default for the M1123 trucks from the Albany, GA location.
I guess you could say I've spent $25,000 for zero miles at this point.
When I get the vehicle, I'll likely spend $1000 for 3 miles.
And then after that... who knows? I will say this... I've started tracking this with my current vehicles. I have finally started a maintenance spreadsheet that...
I think the most common complaint is that some of them melt internally and can be a fire hazard. There was a certain kind that was less prone to this problem... but in general I got the impression that it's advised to stay away from them.
I should get my truck in the next month or so, and I...
Thank you, everyone!
I was very determined to get the right tool... and then saw a $300 price tag on it and nearly fell out of my chair. Good gosh! Is it worth THAT much?
I'll probably crimp and solder these connections, so it might not be that critical to spend all of that $$.
I'm talking about these style connectors on the left:
1) What is the actual name of them?
2) Are they superior in any way to other typical automotive bullet connectors?
3) Where can I find them?
4) What tools are needed to make them properly.
5) Any amperage limits on this style...
Are you talking about this:

Has anyone used it successfully in a Humvee? There are a few things that stand out to me:
1) "This model is for 6V-24V SINGLE...
I've been over on the H1 forums for a few years, and people were VERY excited about the C Series. Ultimately, the prices came out and the fact that it didn't come with any powertrain made people laugh. Some were still interested, but I've never seen a build thread or anything over there for...
If you look around at several of the soft tops that are for sale, they often come as kits which include everything you need to convert. It might be worthwhile to look into going that route. The little parts add up quickly.
I've been considering this route as well. I always hated the look of the raised cargo covers, as well as the sail they make when in transit. But I've considered doing a chop job.
Now that I made a huge score of Humvee parts and it includes all of the cargo cover equipment... I might have to...
I ended up getting a ton of fluids that I hope can be used with the truck... having $500 to spend was fairly difficult. The parts shown in Wagnum's post seemed to me to be almost all Hummer H1 parts, not necessarily HMMWV parts. Or the part number listed on the page wasn't something the GM...
$1000 sounds reasonable. I won't get one immediately because my truck is overbudget already and I need NECESSARY items, but that sounds decent.
Will these units be capable of accidentally going underwater?
Unfortunately, that leaves only one person with one price. I'm hoping to be able to use common parts and have more options, like going to Advance Auto.
For example of my immediate concern, I am one of the people who has the VW diesel emissions scandal affected vehicles. VW gave me a $500 card...
Any suggestions on where to get parts for the 6.5L GEP Optimizer engine and 4L80E transmission?
Ideally, I'd like to be able to hop on Rock Auto and look for parts for a 2002 6.5L Chevrolet van or something... I'm hoping the answer is that simple to get filters, serpentine belts, etc. But I'm...
Just saw this. I understand they are different. And a lot of things I'm seeing will be assumptions.
But for example, in 1994 the H1 changed to beefier half-shafts, new fuel tank design, new propeller shafts, new radiator. 1995 saw new ball joints (which were improved continuously after...
I see, so your concern is that the truck was a different variant, and possibly a 1998 at the earliest instead of a 200_? Seemed like we were in the same boat. I got one of the stripped M1123 trucks too.
If it IS possible that it is a 1998 truck instead of a 2005... that still stinks and keeps...
