Understood. Showing the picture was just to show that the truck that is advertised as a 2005 with 81 miles actually does look like it. It does not look like a 1987 with 30,000 miles with a replaced odometer and other parts. It's hard to keep up because several of the old trucks were...
Per GovPlanet's site, they are very open about the "We make no guarantees about mileage". And that's fine. I understand odometers get replaced a bit. Heck, even civilian Hummers have that as a big problem due to those malfunctioning all the time.
But the year would be a very concerning part...
This makes me very concerned about the M1123 I just bought a month ago on GP. If it was actually a 1987 truck, I wouldn't pay what I did. The data plate:
The only other picture that includes data plates:
I agree, my only light at the end of that tunnel was that he was telling me that long after I had paid for everything... so I figured he had no real motivation to get me excited... I was the one telling him that I was expecting to wait 2-3 months and he kept saying 1 month is more likely.
:(...
That makes me want to cry. I was reading backwards in the thread and was noticing that. I'm just entering into the group therapy session, here. :D
AFTER I made the purchase, the sales guy was saying the EUC might only take a month. I was ready for 3 until he said that... /sigh.
First time EUC here on a Humvee purchase.
Auction won 8/17/16
EUC Submitted 8/19/16
EUC Submitted to TSC by GovPlanet on 8/23/16
No new updates since then.
I believe I just got John's number in an e-mail I received earlier today. I actually dislike the "complete" ones. I think they look kind of... off. I'm curious to see what I end up doing to this truck.
2005 M1123. 6.5L Optimizer, 4 speed 4L80E transmission, 81 miles on the clock. I'll be starting the EUC wait shortly. This is a not an "off road use only" truck. Sold by the Marine Corps with a clear SF97.
What do you think its job was?
