Well I just pecked in a who story of my adventure, including the hurricane force winds that slowed me down and the driving rain. Then my connection logged out and I lost it. So I'm off to bed.
I'm pleased as punch so far. The truck runs great, at 48-50 it settles out smooth as glass on the...
I'm one the road. God this thing is slow but she purred right along all day. Average over the hills and dales was about 48mph. I hope things work for the rest of the week and I make it home. I'm soloing it. So keep an eye out for me tomorrow between Marion, Ill and Omaha, Neb. Thats the...
I recently picked up my A3 at Ft. Gillam. When I inquired about the truck, I got a prompt return call from Robbie? I think I forgot to write it down. He gave me all sorts of useful information for a first time bidder. He knew the truck and told me what he knew about it.
It took nearly...
I just picked my A3 up a few days ago and am prepping it for a cross country trip. The CTIS system appeared to work fine for three whole days. Then it went apecrap and starting giving the flat alarm with 45 psi in the tires, all six tires.
When it is off it is shut-off and all six wheels...
I had Cat do the overhead on the engine and service everything yesterday, today is bolt tightening and replacing the fan belt if we can find the thing. If I can do a quick adjustment on the steering to get a little more power assist we will be cooking with gas. The guys who maintained it for...
I drove three or four different A3's while in the ANG and they all were a bit bouncy unloaded. This one just seemed to get a little hippity hoppie and stay that way for a minute or two, then quiet down.
I was thinking at some point to maybe shut off the CTIS and keep the rears about 10psi...
Well I picked up my truck today, it is in pretty good shape. I checked everything over and took it for an hour drive to get it serviced. It did have a bounce in the rear axel, kind of an odd thing where the wheels bounced left and right and not at the same time. The bounce smoothed out at a...
I picked up my A3 today after nearly three months of waiting. The folks at Forest Park were helpful, friendly and everything there went smoothly.
I have my truck getting checked out and took it for an hours drive. It has two new front tires and a new left rear tire, the others are 75% or...
I feel for your transport needs. I can't seem to give my money away these days, I guess the economy is so good they don't need business from private citizens.
I'm picking my truck up April 1st in Ga. and hoping for the best.
Hello all, I'll have my A3 by then but I'm meeting up with some friends in the mid-west for our annual July get together. I would like to make something and say Hello.
If all goes well, I'll pick my truck up next week and have it shipped the week after that. Is it a pain to get one titled...
Well my EUC cleared today! :jumpin:
I'm having it shipped after all. My co-pilot ran out of balls for the drive and decided to beg off. I have some stuff to put into the bed and am working out the plans for picking it up in a week, then home a week after that. Soon I'll have my truck.
Here is a little more "WFT" for you. I got a letter today from the folks in Battle Creek. It says "I was assessed to purchase/recieve DoD property" and lists the parts of the EUC form I should read.
What the heck is this? Nobody ever mentioned letters about random stuff. That and I think...
Well my EUC is at Battle Creek. I'm sure I can pass a background check, especially since I have spent a lifetime in the military and am easy to check.
GL responded that it is at Battle Creek and there is nothing they can do except enjoy making interest in my fat wad of cash while I am...
My EUC is at 60 days. They have been enjoying my money for over two months and nothing is happening. This is my first auction, but I am a retired USAF guy with nearly three decades of service, checking my background cannot be that hard. This is offically the slowest, most miserable process I...
Well my auction was 4927, it took GL 7 days to respond and ask for additional information. My EUC has been submitted for going on six weeks with no progress or end in sight.
Eventually I'll get my EUC approved and drive mine 300 miles farther than you. Between us we will have the A3 realibility tests completed for the rest of the guys. I bought mine in GA because thats where all the good maintanence was located. My bro works with a Cat dealer and has a huge shop...
