Thanks guys. Great support from this group! Can’t wait for some feedback. You’re going to be surprised at how much better you trucks drive . I used to hate the first few shifts, the problem is gone completely! Now the torque converter dampens the shift,
No more neck break, spill your...
I’m in NE Indiana, and it’s been nasty cold wet etc. My tests to date have been dirt roads, paved streets pulling loads on trailer.
I’m sure when it gets a little nicer I might go North to Grayling Mi. to test it a little.
Your turbo should normalise for elevation changes, so you shouldn’t...

Ok everyone, please don’t ask about purchasing on the general forum. It’s ok to ask technical questions, how parts are made etc.
Just started a thread in the vendors for sale section, if you have sales questions I will try to answer them in that section.
If you have interest in a set of hubs...
In the past I’ve run 1/8” toe in, also with good results. The tire size and the length of the tubes needed to get around them
made me settle on the 3/8” Not saying it’s correct but it has got to be better than 1 3/8”. 🙂🙂
Just for fun today I checked the toe on my 2001 m1078. Using 54” of 1x1 box tubing on each side, pushed up to the tire. I measured 1 3/8” of toe in. I thought
that seems like a lot of toe in, so I changed it to 3/8” toe in. Had to adjust the steering link to align the steering wheel...
The adapter is bolted to the inner wheel hub with the same size bolts. 3/8” 16. So yes it will fit the axle. The aluminium hub cap
is bolted to the hub with 4 10/32 stainless Allen screws. Yes you can pull the cap and remove the axle for whatever reason.
Looks like the hubs will be done...
Did another 100 plus miles this weekend to go to a gun show. Nice to talk to people with interest in these trucks. Draws
quite a lot of people wherever it goes. Even McDonald’s had people come up to talk about the truck. Lots of thumbs ups also!
For people following the direct...
Hi I have a m1078 2001 a1. I noticed the other day all the relays in the fuse box are 12 volt. Looked thru the tm’s
a little but didn’t find an easy answer. Which relays are 24 volt ? Which are 12 volt? Fuse box far right of dash.
Thanks.
I understand and don’t wish to break the rules. Will limit my info to technical only…. I will Post in the for sale section when they are available…. Sorry for bending the rules.
Had a chance to pull some weight today. Hooked a 24’ tilt deck equipment trailer on the back of the 1078.
pulled it empty about 35 miles picked up my tractor at the dealership and returned home.
I would guess the trailer to be 2500 lbs maybe a bit more and the 5010 Kioti cab tractor with...
Yes! Exactly correct…. We used to set up 12 bolt Chevrolet rear ends with 6:13/1 for circle track racing very small pinions!
and driveline speeds of 6500 to 7000 rpm! Sometimes we would even shorten the driveshaft at home. Cut the weld at the yoke
shorten the tube, weld it back together...
I’m sure A video will be posted at a later time.. Right now I’m concentrating on getting all the quotes for production, very different than
one set at a time. Looking good so far, I’m holding my price point. Thank you for your input .
The nut is locked with a single split collar, the collar is machined to fit over the splines on the axle tube. The collar has two holes that line up with the existing pins on the spindle nut Slide the collar up tight to the nut tighten the Allen bolt. You remove the inner gear but leave the...
