RE: Looking for a M1009 in Missouri
Man, a guy stopped me the other day and asked if I knew if anyone was looking for one. He has my number... I didn't get his...sorry.
I told him to post it here...
If he calls me I'll get his info.
There is on on Craig's list ... it is white...
Would I have to get longer brake lines?
Any other things I need to keep in mind? I've never "lifted" a truck... I lifted a '64 impala once, but that was different.

Anyone know if this will work with an M1009? And, is 2.5" worth the effort and/or money?
Thanks

Left side crosses over to the right side and then mix together and through the turbo then out the back?

is this thing computer driven? What is the PMD?
There is a guy parting out a '94 6.5 turbo and I'd like to try to get the turbo and put it on my '85 M1009.
Can I use this turbo for my '85 6.2? Or is there a better year to look for?
Can anyone tell me or give me a list of all the parts that I will need to take from the '94 6.5?
Are these...

Ok, I didn't and still don't know where all the timing marks are so I didn't try that...It was dark and raining and I was lazy.... so I went ahead and put the new glow plugs in. I figured... what the hell, at least...
M1009 12 volt system - won't start. I've had it for about a year and only had issues when I park on a hill with the nose up.
I installed an electric fuel pump (brand new) to solve the "hill parking" issue
I pulled the fuel line from the output of the filter and activated the pump... I have...
No, I didn't make it myself. I wish I could weld aluminum.
The water and fuel bungs are on the bottom.
The tank heating is done with a 1" square tubing going up from the bottom then turning to front then back and down.through the tank.
The fuel lines will be HIH, plus a heated filter and a...
Is it sitting on a slope with the tail down? Mine does that.. Someone told me that there was an issue with the fuel pump losing prime and the new ones fixed the issue. I have not replaced mine as I am putting a Walbro in when I install my WVO system.
Since there are over 40 views I'll post what I got from the frybrid.com forum....

So this means I can totally bypass the OEM filter. Please let me know if you have info to the contrary.
Has anyone removed the stock fuel filter and replaced it with a screw-on type?
I'd like to get rid of the stock filter and replace it with a cheaper screw-on type but I don't know how to remove the OEM filter mount which is also the fuel cut-off (isn't it)
