I am working on the rear drive shaft of a CUCV. The front part of it is a slip yoke and is about 5 inches long.
The groove is in the middle. When looking at what these sleeves do, I was concerned that the yoke would slip in and out as it is supposed to and rub the seal where the sleeve is...
I found it... that prolly won't work as they are only 1.5" long max and I would nee to cover the whole yoke which is 5" or 6" long and the groove is smack in the middle.
I replaced the rear seal on the transfer case. When I was looking at the yoke and it has a groove in it where the seal rides.
I though that having the new seal would take up that slack in the yok but I am now leaking a lot of fluid out of the transfer case.
Does anyone have or know where I...
One word.... PEX
I had a piece of 1/2 pex left over from plumbing my house .cut a small slit in the funnel and it fits over the end of the pex nicely.
There is space between the body and frame where the pex will fit through and then straight over to the transfer case. Bend it a little so it...
I had to replace the rear seal on my transfer case. What is the bes way to fill the case?
Does anyone have a method they have used that works better that another?
Only thing I can think of is a long hose on a funnel.
Thanks
Re: RE: auxiliary fuel tank
I'm going to use a kit from frybrid.com. I put one of their kits in an 85 mercedes 300D. Ran it for about a year. I looked at all the kits when I the the MB. Frybrid's kit is by far superior. Their kit has a micro-processor that automates the purge time and...
Re: RE: auxiliary fuel tank
I saw that one too. That is what I am looking for.
Frybrid.com will make a tank for you if you provide dimensions and money.
I was hoping there was a factory tank I could go with.
Here is my drawing
Well, I was looking for a second tank that either fit in the left rear over the fender well or under the truck.
I am going to do a wvo conversion and need a second tank.
thanks
Did the M1009 or the Civvy Blazer ever come with an auxiliary fuel tank? If so, are they available? Anyone have one they want to get rid of?
Or is there a "factory" spot that one could put an auxiliary tank in?
Correction... this one was in the front left. The rest are wellman 070s
AC Delco 151
0 100 271 117 (or 107)
10.5v
Does anyone know if these will swell?
That is what I pulled out of my engine.
So that explains why mine is acting like an open diff when I am in 2-hi on snow.
Does it "slam" into the locked position when the centrifugal tendencies take over? Or is it a gradual "clutch" effect?
Just a guess but you might pull the two plugs off the motor/pump and clean them. When I was cleaning my pump to get it to stop pumping I noticed that they wipers stopped where ever I turned them off when the two plugs were off the pump/motor
I have been reading a lot of the older posts on glow plugs and I am still scratching my head.
My M1009 is a complete 12v system (I did not do this conversion)
12v starter, one Alternator, 2 batteries and a manual glow plug button.
I am reading that I want to use the Wellman 070 GPs but when I...
I don't think it is air in the lines...
I pushed the pedal slightly down once and I started it this morning and the high idle kicked in (really high).
I then turned the truck off and started again without touching the pedal.... the high idle did not kick in...
I then slightly pressed the...
