Has anybody seen or done a conversion like this? You convert your M1009 into an enclosed cab with a short cargo box. Not sure WHY you would do it though.....I guess you could just buy an M1008 instead! Guess the forrestry folks like it.

Andy....I'd suggest you avoid metro Atlanta at peak travel times if possible. Which technically never ends - yep 24/7!!
Actually you can plan on it being worst from about 0600 to 0900 and then again from 1600 to 1900. You never know - a stall or back to back accidents during the peak and it...
If you're looking to do some research on MV prices, then I suggest you go to ebay and search the "completed listings". It will show you what vehicles have sold and for how much.
If you search with several keywords, you should find both types of trucks. Of course, you can create a favorite...
Wow....a lot of work went into this one!! How many hours would it take to do all this??
Can someone let me borrow some cash at zero percent for 100 years???

It's been on ebay several times.
Funny how they didn't mention the dealer fees they charge - it said on the ebay ad they were "non-negotiable". I think it was about $200....
Clintogf: No worries....from my experience, once you learn the basics, you can drive most any manual. You'll need to modify the variables though, because each vehicle is different. Clinto is right: the more practice you get, the more confidence you'll have! Then, the only thing that can stop you...
Let's be fair to the Phantom, it was never designed to do that. It was intended to defend the carriers by launching a AIM-7 Sparrow missile at long range and returning. Putting it into the weeds in Vietnam was a real test of the machines and pilots. It wasn't a dogfighter, nor a CAP aircraft...
Some people shouldn't be allowed to own a Mustang!! There should be an application process before buying one, so this kind of stuff can be prevented.
Big-rig stacks are just outta place on a Mustang, same as putting 37" tall mud tires on a Ferrari, or lots of chrome on a Deuce.
Too me...
Yep, I love all of those plus: Thunderbolt, Hellcat, Aircobra, Warhawk, Flying Fortress, Catalina, Dauntlass.....well you get the idea.rofl
Thanks for posting. 8-)
If they wrote you up for holes in the floor, then I'm glad they didn't mention these missing items too!!
- No Anti-Lock Braking System
- No door beams
- No traction control
- No pollution control devices
- No stability control
- and no cup holders!
Seriously....what do they expect...

I think the marketplace is giving you the answer. The fact that nobody is bidding on it, says that it's too much in this economic enviroment. Split it out and see how that goes. As it has already been said - I would think that will help a lot.
If no one bites then, try a price reduction...
If my memory serves me right, it was almost $4,000...which wasn't too bad. I thought that you could probably make an offer of around $3000 - $3200 and he'd take it.
The truck looked good, but his ad was what worried me.
Since we're talking ebay auctions, how about this ebay ad for a M1028.
Bidding is at $6,600 and it hasn't met the reserve yet!
Very nice looking truck, but WOW what a price!!
