Things I could do with $150,000:
I could buy a used Newell coach, a flatbed trailer to haul the deuce behind AND a used A3 deuce.
I could buy a used Semi tractor, upfit the motorhome package on it, get an enclosed trailer to match AND buy an A2C with winch and haul it in the enclosed...
I have an update to this whole situation.
I first off want to thank everyone for their council on this issue. It was very helpful to know what to expect and some possibilities for resolution.
After some e-mail correspondence back and forth I found out today that GL decided to not reinstate...
I really don't think GL has operated outside their "rules" and I am sure in their minds I did something to justify a default. I was merely hopeing someone had some success with getting a default situation overturned and could guide me through that process. Sounds like not so much. I really don't...
I was succesful with an auction 12-28-09. I did not see any invoices in my email. I checked the GL website a few times and did not see any invoices but assumed that everyone was gone for the new years holiday like was advertised on their website. It required a EUC. I went through the tutorial...
Last week I had a great reminder of how bad my wipers really are. I will be looking for the 25-11's. I assume they would fit an M-37 as well. Thanks guys.:-D
Just what I wanted to know......Now I gotta get a semi truck and 53 foot flattie just to come out and see you. This is getting to be real fun.......I am starting to rethink our association. You may be a bad infuence on me. Naw. It's not you. It's a bad case of OD fever.
Yep. Mine is starting to make the death humm. I have not wanted to throw down with the chemicals yet as I don't want to take the "magic" out of it until it gets bad. Thanks for the findings.
This is like the greatest post ever!!!!! Now I gotta get some fresh snow here so I can get in on all the fun. We have about 6 inches that is hard packed. It's been hangin' around for the last week and a half. We are supposed to get some fresh over the next few days so watch out. I will be...
I will call you. I think I see my winch truck in there. You got any parts trucks or am I SOL? Last time I was there I remember most of your stuff was nice and in good working order.
Give me a call if you want to talk turkey- 760 248 6214:grd:
Roger that! I will be callin'. I missed a truck I was looking at in South Dakota. I basically put a neussance bid on it and it went by me quickly. I guess I could run the Michelin's if you got a couple. It's my Mom's birthday...
I forgot. I don't usually like the A3's but that one is pretty freakin' cool. Maybe it just takes the Hundy touch. Mythbusters confirmed you can polish a turd and you have now proven a goofy hood can look cool.
Hey Hundy. I love my 395's on my deuce. Thanks for "talking" me into them. It really was not a hard sale was it? And I can't thank you enough for hooking me up.
On another note I will be in Barstow, probably in two months after my EUC clears to get a couple trailers. I have been running on my...
I for one want our boys and girls on the frontline to have the best equipment. Bar none, hands down.
One of the things I don't understand is how these two guys had that much alone time in the desert unsupervised and without friedlies around, no witnesses. Then they are jumping the truck...
If I remember correctly there is a valve in the fuel line somewhere on the side of the engine block. It is supposed to measure the viscosity of the fuel in order to keep the feed to the IP correct for the fuel type. I mention this because some trucks have this part bypassed so that if it fails...
Most of the current winch ropes I have seen come with a "guard" at the tail and head of the rope. It is usually 10-25 feet to cover the abbrasion and heat caused by the drum and about a 10 foot cover at the thimbal (hook) end. This seems to help a bit on the abrasion resitance and durrability...
I am new to deuce and a halfs but not to MV. I am also new to this site. Before and when I first got my deuce I tryed to search for filter info and brake system info etc. I did not find much. I am sure it was the way I was searching for the info that tripped me up. I figured it was in here...
I looked and can't find the popcorn eating smiley. I was hoping to break the tension with it. And no I don't have a breaking strength rating for this level of tension. :-D
And on that note. I have used synthetic, M-37 wire rope(fiber core), and the cable supplied with my Warn electric winches...
All things considered it was not bad. It can always be worse. Just the weather was questionable. It was not a full on ice storm or anything. I have been through those as I am sure you have been too. Mechanically everything went well other than the fuel mileage. We were catching a headwind all...
