When I got mine I traded a boat for it. I had $3500 in the boat. It is not the greatest truck as far as sheet metal goes. Driver fender is bent and has been "repaired" before. Several times. Bumper is bent accordingly. Front of hood repaired, several times as well. Dropside bed. Came with new...
These are some pictures of "Major Payne" hauling three 1500 lb. hay bales while hearding cattle and llamas. We were forced to sell the creek last summer and this is the last time we will have animals in the creek. 75 years of pasturing in that creek for this family......You all would be suprised...
I have been infected by OD fever at the genetic level. My Pop's bought his first M-37 in 1964 from US Forrest Circus surplus. We had a bad outbreak of pine beetle in the 50's and they used them to go spray the forrest. Dad got one, then his brother in law had to have one. Then his brother in...
I bought the 40 ton from Harbor Mafreight because it was on sale for $5 more than the 20 ton. So far it has jacked up my big flatbed trailer and a test under the deuce for fitment. I have a pair of 2.5 ton Snappy floor jacks and they together will lift the front. Barely. Backs are no prolem that...
Then that's the guy you want to be "friends" with. I have some take off's you could borrow but we are too far apart to make it wortwhile for you. I'm sure you will find some. Good luck with the truck you get.
Way to go brother. OD fever is on the loose. It is a thrill to drive it home. What a great country when we get to buy such a tresure and drive it away from the post.:-D
I am proly gonna get slaughtered for this but I have the 395-80R20 Michelins on my deuce with the standard snap ring rims and........bias 9.00-20 tubes. I could not get 14.00 radial tubes when I put the tires/wheels together this summer. I asked a bunch of truck drivers I know and their tire...
I have had issues with my primary fuel filter too. I changed all the filters before hunting camp and the **** primary started leaking when we pre ran to camp. It did not leak in the shop or on my test drives. It started leaking 14 miles into some REMOTE country. It would not stop leaking. I...
The fork op in the pictures was Glenn Minks with GL. He took good care of my stuff. Good guy.
The flattie is a 5 ton M1061 general purpose trailer. Mostly they have the laundry rig on them. We're gonna haul hay on it. Probably other stuff like Jeeps and our skid steer after I build ramps for...
Amen Brother!!! I don't like the 15 minute thing either but my Pop's and I used to do it the old way too. What a pain in the rear it was. Most of it was some random crap and like one good item. Most of the auctions we went to were sealed bid........ My favorite random crap award was a three...
One more recovery to do next week and then we will take a step back for a month or so. The truck is in being serviced right now and then on the road again next Monday.
Some pics of my recent recoveries. No trucks. Just trailers and such. No big problems. Just some adventureing. And mighty cold I would like to add. I would like to thank Glenn Minks with GL and Specialist Sandoval for all the help loading. I would also like to thank my dad and my lady. Thanks...
I have had this discussion personally with my friends and authorities. ALL laws are enforceable by LEO's but not supposed to be individually interpereted by the officers. The officers that I know tell me they are most likely going to leave you alone unless you are acting the fool or something...
I have the 395's singled out on my deuce. I have gradually increased pressure to 65 psi all the way around. For the deuce running empty this seems to work well.
So which type of injector is better? I would assume the superceeded part, 2 hole, is better but that is an assumption and we all know what assumptions make me.
Sorry you had to sell your truck. At least it went to a good home. Good luck in finding a reprieve from opression. Unless you have a thousand acres and your stuff is tucked away where nobody can see it inevitably someone will take offence and make some phone calls to somebody that will tell you...
I have ventilated more blocks than I want to admit. Mostly on race cars and things that I wanted to be race cars that had no business being thought of as such. I have had oil related failures, parts failures and fastner failures. IMO looking at the pictures I see it this way. The crank journal...
