Well getting a higher top speed is easy, it is the extra economy of fuel consumption that is hard.
You leave the standard gearbox in place and just play around with the transfer case putting a .90 to 1 in the transfer case would increase top-speed. It wouldn't really affect the off-road...
I think a fat guy used to sit in truck because the drivers seat has a flat cushion... I need to get some extra padding for that soon. I'm too lazy to fix it this trip. I'm not really concerned that much, I've but 3,000miles on it 1 year of owning it. The truck is great shape. I just wanted to...
yeah all I know is that 22+ hours is along time... I have no choice, I'm leaving Kentucky and my daily driver is a M35 so it just a matter of will power. I just don't want to fall asleep in the damn thing kill someone.
Well I'm leaving the State of Kentucky and going back to New York State for a short sojourn before grad-school... My question is this anyone actually spend 20 hours in one trip in the M35? I figure the 880miles from Louisville to my home in Up-State New York will take 22hours and about 30...
Why not also change the transfer-cases high range as well from 1.01:1 in high to say .98 or .92 to 1 in high range. That should really help with the speed. As for better fuel economy you're going to have spec out the engine and the rest of the gearing for the ideal combination at targeted speed...
You want a serious truck try a Kraz 255b... But the M35 is fun, I own for a daily driver, but all i drive on is concrete right now... One more month and that will change. Homeward bound to Up-State New York and fun fun in the country. By nature I only like to do things outdoors when I'm...
Super Singles with a pair chains are the best in any condition the North has to throw at you. The snow will get stuck between the duals just like the mud will. Another plus is if you don't have chains for the truck reduce the air-pressure to increase your surface area and traction. This works...
I would pop the heads off and the oil pan out and see if there are pieces of turbo in your cylinders before you attempt to put a new Turbo on and run it. You don't want to do serious damage to the engine's sleeves or pistons and then have to replace the entire engine. I would be conservative and...
So I have to say I was wrong about the engine in many respects:
1) the depression in the piston is not due to compression ratio.
2) the actual combustion chamber is in the piston.
It is a curious design since the combustion chamber is actually part of the piston itself, that is very unusual...
Yeah, it is important, I usually put an old duvet cover on my windshield if I know it is going to be extremely cold ,snow, rainy or icy. I figured that this guy would probably scrap off the windows with a scrapper and than let the heat that rises from the hood keep the windows clean... In fact...
Once you have the temp equal both inside the cab and out you won't have any foggy windows ... If you get snow use windshield wipers but in -17 degrees the chances of snow falling is low, only snow being blown around. I think you'll be fine. I drive a m35A2 with no heat as a daily driver. I just...
