Is this right though? I googled it as well and saw a screw in type on the side of the block or one that would replace a freeze plug. I would much rather install the screw in type and not have to mess with a freeze plug and have to drain the coolant......has anyone actually used the screw in...
Has anyone made a trick pull cable for permanent replacement of the solenoid? I made one a long time ago in my '98 12v Dodge Cummins sled pulling truck and it worked great over the stupid prone to failing solenoid. If anyone has any pics, please provide.
I think one could be converted using...
Well, that's good to know, I figured it was some stupid glitch in the system. Guess I will just have to make sure I energize it about every week so I don't waste my starter on my new truck.
Anyone else with any input is always appreciated.
Thanks! Joe
Yeah, I would try to find one off auction cuz a remanned unit will run upwards of $2600 plus core charge.......I have seen great looking used and remanned units go for as low as $300 on auction......just gotta search

Did a search but didn't find anything pertaining to my specific problem........long story short, did oil change and fuel filter/water separator change this weekend. Hadn't run truck in 3 weeks, installed new FF/water separator, primed fuel system and engine wouldn't start. Eventually fired but...
I went straight to the 5 tons as my motto is why buy a deuce when you can get a 5 ton for the same price! My first one was a M923A1 which was pretty run down and I'm still kickin mysef for not doing more research on these trucks before I bought it. Sold that one and got a practically...
It's on my list for my 932 cuz I don't wanna get stopped.....but, knock on wood, I have been passed by numerous CHP and they haven't thought to give me any crap about them missing yet......

What is the R and L switch on the drivers side of the cab on the floor between the door and the seat?? Is that the actual fuel tank switch from R to L and the switch on the dshi is just the gauge switch?? I can get some pics tonite if anyone is confused on what switch I'm trying to...
I took my 923A1 toolin around Hungry Valley/Gorman which is mostly sandy terrain up there. Truck was running the 395/85R20 Michelin XMLs and it did great! It would hop in certain areas that I thought any truck would but thats the nature of sand. The wide foot print of all these super single...
I was extremely lucky and thankful I was one of those guys :D Can't wait to go pick up my nearly new tractor next week! :-P
Got a great deal of course but unfortunately I wasn't able to keep bids under $3000 but paying less than $5000 for such a truck is a God Send......
I hope this gets resolved too cuz I believe I won my auction. Started saying site was down with 25 min left and I couldn't check status of my bid until just now and it says the event closed and my lot was won with the bid I put in so gonna call tomorrow and get this straightened out so I can...
So with the outrageous price tag on the rebuild of my MT645CR that was internally destroyed from heat and previous owner abuse, I am interested in researching a manual transmission conversion. Has anyone done it? If so, what transmission did you use and wht price range did you spend to do it...
Removed the transmission myself last weekend and got it down to Dartco in Anaheim only for them to tell me the clutches are toast and it needs a full rebuild......for the whopping total of $2600! Ouch! Wish I knew this before I bought the truck as the guy I got it from obviously abused it by...
