Is this right though? I googled it as well and saw a screw in type on the side of the block or one that would replace a freeze plug. I would much rather install the screw in type and not have to mess with a freeze plug and have to drain the coolant......has anyone actually used the screw in...

Well, that's good to know, I figured it was some stupid glitch in the system. Guess I will just have to make sure I energize it about every week so I don't waste my starter on my new truck. Anyone else with any input is always appreciated. Thanks! Joe

Yeah, I would try to find one off auction cuz a remanned unit will run upwards of $2600 plus core charge.......I have seen great looking used and remanned units go for as low as $300 on auction......just gotta search Joe
