That is good news for you Michiganders, congrats.
This thread topic really should be in the "Politics Relating to MV's" section. That being said, i will move it for you.
I understand what you are saying, the CRC stuff is superior for almost all cutting/tapping jobs. But the cast manifolds are so soft, there is likely zero chance of damaging the tap, to each his own though.
Make sure the voltage adjustment rheostat is wired properly also. I bought some spare control panels one time and the rheostat in one of them was wired in such a was as to never be able to adjust it.
That is exactly what I did. I started with a 1/8" bit and started the truck just before it broke through, and used the proper size bit. The pilot hole made the larger bit go through like a hot knife through butter.
Another tip for you...When you tap the holes, dip the tap in some grease. It...
I personally liked the digital one from Auber Instruments. I cannot remember the exact model I used, but it was 24 volts so the wiring was simple. It also has a dimming circuit that I was able to tie into the dash lights and it dimmed itself when the lights were on. I posted a little info...
As Jonathan said, the grinding is NOT normal.
Having to hold the switch until you build oil pressure is the standard operation, but after the engine fires and comes up to RPM (not necessarily oil pressure yet) the starter should disengage via the starter lockout switch. It is located right...
That was probably me, and I more than likely cannot help you out. I use a Linux based OS, and I can do more tricks and such with my internet browser than you can with Windows based stuff.
Wet stacking is not generally an issue with air cooled diesels. Can it happen, Yes. But not often.
If you are wanting to prevent it, a fully loaded run for about an hour or so every 6 months to a year is fine. And that all depends on how much and how you run the generator in between. It may...
I was letting this thread go until you posted that.
If you want to post a "Parts Wanted" ad, you need to upgrade your membership and post it in the classified section as per the rules of the site. Your questions about sourcing one and alternatives was answered but we cannot allow this to...
What's the deal on the seat covers?????? OEM brown just like they came from uncle? or a slip on cover aftermarket?
Mine is in pretty good shape, but I'm sure it won't stay that way forever.
The 52 amps is only if you are going to use it in 120volt only mode. Unless you want to hook up everything in your house with extension cords you cannot use the 120 only mode because you cannot interface with your service panel that way. (well, you can, but only 1/2 of it).
Even though it...
The weight of the propellant has nothing to do with the calculation of the energy. You are only concerned with the velocity at which the projectile is leaving the muzzle and the weight of the projectile. The only other factor is the constant of gravity. You are looking at how much energy it...
Alright m1010...those signs got the shooting/reloading enthusiast in me thinking....
The last sign got me wondering, just how much muzzle energy is created with a 600 Lb projectile leaving the barrel at 2500 fps????
Well, there are 4,199,999.99 grains in 600 pounds, yes that's right...
Anybody else notice the condition of those two beauties? Other than some cosmetic issues, I'll bet both of those rigs would fire up and run if called upon. The prime mover for the Atomic Annie has a drip bucket to catch an oil leak, and the rocket launcher still has batteries in the tray.
