Got some rock haulin jobs lined up myself...Just need my head gaskets and soon be on my way!
Oh, and remember...If its leaking, that is a good thing...when it stops leaking then worry!
Hey...I like the looks of the last two sets of tires you posted...First question...Are they all re-caps/treads. Second question...Where can a fella get some??? Thanks, Coop
All I got to say is awesome! I am a huge K-whopper fan and I wish more military contracts had been given to more of the American classics. I guess we'll just have to keep wishing and in reality watching more and more of our stuff looking like freightshakers and being made overseas somewhere....(...
RE: M211
I also have a bridge truck m139 with the 602c.i. Continental gas engine in it, but don't have any pix handy at the moment. I am planning to drive it here from Dayton, NV. It is benig stored at Jon Bircheff's surplus place there. The truck runs well, just trying to come up with the time...
M211
Here is one of the twin M211's I had to trade for the M51. They were a Whitenberg conversion for farmers and had the frames stretched about 3 feet.
That's them alright!!!! Would appreciate it if you would get them out at your convenience. I sent my mailing address in a private message. I owe you one buddy!
I think those are the ones recommended for the engine actually (with the slobber slots). The block and heads are exactly the same in all LD 465 engines. Is there any way for you to post some pics for me so I can be sure? I would definately be interested if they are the right ones! Thanks, COOP
Would be glad to tell the story some day. Believe me I got a few! I finally got my dumper, now the pinnacle of my collecting is gonna' be a wrecker.... Mind you fellas, I use these rigs for work and work they do! Need the wrecker for off road recovery ops. Lot of equipment gets stuck out in the...
Hey, just got the TM downloaded. Looks awesome! Thanks so much gents. This site is awesome...I joined a couple years ago but never posted and kinda forgot about it....Glad I came back!!! FO SHO!!! COOP
Oh, I forgot to add....A 250 cummins would look nice in there...and if I were to find one for the right price I would put a big cam 400 in her. Already have a 13 speed double overdrive tranny if it were to happen!:)
Yea, I wish I knew if she was gonna run good when I get the head gasket done...I was told that it ran well until it started slobberin' oil from tween the heads. I haven't really dug into it yet, both bays in the garage filled with other projects at the moment. She is safe here at home tho. In...
Just happened on this one by chance... Had to trade my 2 50s M211 Whitenburg civialian farm conversions and a gun for.
Needs a head gasket and some other small things...will post as she progresses.
I have six tires for single conversion but only 5 older military 2 piece rims/wheels...Any help...
Having some trouble with the lds troubleshooting link in the TM section. Clicked on link to open, just keeps lookin' but never opens....I am not overly computer literate, so I don't know if is a broken link or just my puter......Suggestions???
Is there anywhere to find head gaskets for the LDS 465 1A? All I could find was complete gasket sets which run over $700.00. Pretty sad when you can get the complete overhauled engine for not much more than the gasket set!!!
