Hey do you have anymore info about the 205 to the 208 mod. i have not heard of this one. Is there a teh article about this? Thanks and good luck with getting your vehicle Tom
That blazer is chicklins that he is getting rid of thats kinda funny. If Chicklin likes you can buy your own blazer back I bet the guy will give you a good deal. :-D Good luck with the sale. It is a little to far for me.
I realize this is a bit old, but I was wondering how the outcome of this. i have been thinking of a jumper cable set up off the slave connection for jumping off non MV Kinda like the snap on quick connect jumpers are. Does anyone have pics of this?
I know if I get an m1009. I am going to put a 700r4 behind it and put my 1 tons that are geared 4:10 with 37" tires. it should make for a nice set up.
It really depends on what you are wanting from this vehicle. Keep it at its curent height run it then keep the 400 but if you are going to...
I never thought about bobing one. I tihnk if I had one I would not want to do that plus it would be alot of work. I would be more incline to relocate the tailights and remove those lower peices to help out. This what found about the angle:
approach angle: 40, departure angle: 30
That to me...
I am completely new here and I was able to follow the instructions. The only thing I messed up is I missed the part about clicking the "Steel Soldiers logo once I was done I clicked the forum link, but no problems. i like that idea of making it a point for everyone to review an important peice...
You can definitely can tell the approach angles are no good. Luckily it is not a unit body. i was thinking of a small body lift to help out things, if I had one. It would require some work but extending the A arms and drive shaft would make for a nice suspension lift but then you lose the...
yeah I know about thesamba they have 1 in CA and for awhile ebay had a few. It seem to difficult at this time to import one in. i would give up all my Blazer and hummer stuff with it for one of those little guys. Thanks alot for the info. Did you like the iltis? What things you did not like? do...

At the top of my head I can not remember where some are at. they are floating around online. i did se on here they are working on geting that togethor with this new site. Also for the basics look at the top under "Resources" that will help a little.
I am curious whats yalls thoughts of vinyl cover the entire vehicles with some sort of camo design as apposed to painting. i am looking at the idea of digital camo vinyl a cucv. i have done the digital paint jon and it is very time consuming. i was just wondering if others have used vinyls...
I will say if you wanting to buy one straight up in good condition that someone has done the work , of what I have seen cost between $4k-6k
It depends where the vehicle origniated to tell you the issues. most have floor panels rotted due to the rubber mat and insulation. Also rockers tend to...
Thanks I will have to do that some time. i fixed my attachements now you can see my steel security guards. :-D Since they are not quite up to the soldier level. My k5 does have a cucv front 1 ton axle and I have a set of front and rear cucv bumpers.
Sorry abotu that. When I hear lug I automatically think wheels. I see you are talking about the shackles. If it was not already given I have a cucv bumper set up at home I could have measured it for you. Glad you got your info and good luck with the build.

Those specs you are asking for should be the same as a civilian K5.
All I know is the track width for the front is 64.1" and the rear is 63.0"
I hope it helps if you look up specs for a 10 bolt that should give you all the info you need to build your tow bar.
If it is where I think it is, it is about 25 min from my house. Here are some pics of my 2 steel soldiers ( more like security guards, but you get the point.)
