My M923A1 with 11.00R20 on it was real sluggish when I bought it. It would still do 55mph or so, but not real responsive and took a while to achieve that speed.

I put new windshield gaskets on both frames, sandblasted both wiper arms, removed my instrument panel and new fuel sending unit many X's until I figured my fuel gauge just needed a new ground. Fixed it!
Oh, added 6 strands of battery operated LED Christmas lights and wreath.

I replaced all of my gauges today since I was off, awaiting the drive to see family 4 hrs away for Thanksgiving. Previous gauges worked fine but lenses were clouded up too bad.
But now my fuel gauge stays on Empty. I replaced my fuel sending unit 2 weeks ago so I knew that isn't the culprit...
This has been a very informative thread. Where did you find the light switch box? I've been looking for something like that for my M923 to do something similar.

This weekend I upgraded all dash lights to 24V LED, changed fuel filter, leaned how to prime the **** out of it to get fuel to the engine, replaced front TS bulbs with new ones, new wiper blades, new dash light covers and painted green. Took lacquer thinner to all of the sprayed-over military ID...
