The original pattern is long gone. Thanks all, my biggest problem comes with over spray, How sharp are the edges between colors supposed to be? Or are the transitions to be blurred between them? Thanks

3 Color Camo Painting Advice Needed

Hello All, I was hoping to get some advice on possibly painting my m1009 in three color camo. I have seen some really good examples and some really bad examples of camo painting. I will be spraying, I am curious how to mask out the pattern. (I have seen the TM's with the outlines) I want it...

    Installing convoy light on M35A2

not sure where to get one. I got mine from acetomato (forum name). I do not think he has any full kits left. My kit came with everything needed. Instructions were there as well. Not a real tough install. That said, make sure your ground is really solid. (ask me how I know) Good luck finding...

    HHO in CUCV ?

Ok, road diesel has now passed the $3.75 mark here. I have 300 gal. of Home Heating Oil in a ground tank for my home. I have switched to wood, so it is just sitting there. Can I use this in my CUCV without harm to the motor or filters? I understand the dye issue and taxes so this is a theory...

    CUCV Winter Fronts

JATONKA, I got the Grill cover installed when I got home today. It fits perfect. The bottom hangs behind the bridge plate and bumper enough to hold it in place. The screws line up with the snaps exactly. Great job. Makes on hell of a difference in how fast the heat comes up. Thanks again Tom

    M1009 Mod. Pic's

Yea, that stung a good bit.... I was half hoping that you did not look at the pictures an have to see it. It was the only way I could get the tires in and not have to lift the truck further. Lost an 1.5 -2" on each side. Sucked doing it, but I needed the bigger wheels for the 4.11 gears and...

    Help My M1009 is cold

Problem solved!!! I pulled the thermostat and it was working fine, so I figured I would mess around with the temp wire. I loosened the nut that holds the temp wire in the block. Large piss of air released before I got fluid. I think it was air locked because it works fine now. Thanks for the...

    Help My M1009 is cold

Mike, I am getting the blanket this week. It was like 45 here today. I was getting 175 on the temp gauge when it was like -5 out. Is the thermostat between the large radiator hose on the passenger side and the motor? If so that will be much easier. The 1930'ish Ford had it on the bottom. I...

    Help My M1009 is cold

I will have to get a manual gauge. to check the temp by hand. The heat is working. It is hot. It was not cold today, so it is hard to tell, but it seems to be about the same as usual I was thinking the thermostat to, They said they did not touch it, it seemed strange that it would go while...

Strang cunking noise in M1009 steering

I am not sure about the bushings, but I can say that they have grease fittings on all the ball joints. That may be a good place to start. I will try to grease everything up in the morning and see if it helps. All the joints look good. From the condition, I think Paul repaired or replaced most of...

    Help My M1009 is cold

Coolant is good and heat is coming from the heater. If it were not for the gage, I would not think anything is different. Is the fan supposed to be on all the time? Tom
