Need a little help. I apologize for the un technical description to follow...
I have noticed a slight clicking noise when I turn the wheel left or right when parked or barely moving. To make matters worse, when I turn to the right at very low speeds, I occationally get a clunk out of the front...
Was hoping for a little advice.
I brought my m1009 in today to a garage to have a block heater installed. I figured that I did not want to loose the plug inside the block which would be my luck.
I have a temp gage installed in the truck and it normally runs between 170-180 depending on the...
Yea.... the chrome is the first thing to go as soon as it warms up enough to paint.
The truck has 2"lift. Springs in the front and blocks in the rear. Oddly enough the MPG was around 15-16 mpg with 32"tires and 3.08 gears.
I switched to the 4.11 gears and 32" tires and I can say the motor was...
AJM,
PM sent... sorry, sent one prior, not sure why it did not get to you.
Thanks...
The tires made a hell of a difference and the steering stop turned out not to be an issue.

Medlog,
Yea, its a daily driver.. In some ways I hate to do it, but that is what I got it for. I still have to hook up the lights. Its next on the project list.
Thanks for your help.
Tom
Mike,
No rust at all!! Came from northern MI. Must have been kept inside.
I saw your light bar listed. I want to add one but lack the funds at this time!! (new tires killed the account!)

I figured, I have picked enough peoples brains for info in the last several months that the least I could do for all the help is post a few pictures of the changes.
I got it from ARMADA in outstanding condition. Like most things, I had to make it "mine" none the less. (ARMADA, notice it is...
In AJMBLAZER's picture there is a plug socket to the right (and below) of the steering wheel.
My m1009 has one, an I am driving around taking guesses as to what it is. I figured it was for the radio in the rear, but did not think m1008 would have it.
Sorry for the Hijack, but I saw the...
Thanks all,
Hubs installed this morning. No problems at all. Went with the Warn Premium. Sadly, paid through the nose, but my m1009 is my daily driver and with all the ice and snow lately, I did not think it was wise to wait to long.
Thanks again
Tom
Said bolt has been found. AJMBLAZER checked on Colorado K5. It is on the backside of the passanger side C bracket.
It is much smaller than I would have thought. Translate.... I looked at it a least 5 times and did not know what it was!
Thanks all
Tom
No such bolt there!!
Here are pic. of what I have.
Mine are not as good as sermis. I can get better if needed.
Thanks all, I am pulling my hair out here.
Ok, I have looked and looked, where is the steering stop bolt on the m1009. Because is sure is not where I think it should be and with bigger tires, I need to adjust it.
Any help you Really, Really, Really be appreciated
Good advice on both parts. I have a heat gun, must have been to early, because I did not think of it.
I found Warn hubs for 89.00 but they are CHROME !!!!
I will check with napa
Ok -15 last night, I went out to engage my lockouts on m1009 and they were frozen. Simple, little tap with a hammer!! 3 min later both are free spining, around and around and around.
Can anyone tell me what I have done or better what I need to replace? Is it the whole unit or just the turn nob...
Hello All,
Due to a tire size change, my m1009 is now living outside until I rework the garage doors. It was down to zero last night so starting was a little less than ideal this morning. Its going down to -10 tonight, so I expect more of the same. Rather than slowly kill my batteries, I think...
Last summer I switched to singles on my deuce. I went with 11.00x20 g286's. I also have one for the spare.
Now after all the labor, I have come to the brilliant decision that I like the duals and want them back. I have been looking for 4 more g286's and they are now out of my price range...
