I finally took my truck to a diesel mechanic, and he felt the starter was going out....ordered a heavy duty starter and she has been starting all the time, but its finally warm in Wisconsin so maybe it still will not start in the winter......won't know for a little while!!! good luck.........
Just wanted to make a comment on the Findlay show........was planning on attending and had a spot reserved when a medical problem popped up two days prior to the show and I called John's wife to tell her I would not make it and they could rerent out my spot......anyway I just got my money back...
Thanks for the replies, ordered the wellmans on ebay tonight when I saw from Doghead that they were the diesel RX, now I have the rebuilt IP and the new GP'S so hopefully my original problem of the truck not starting after it runs for awhile will be solved.......at least two of the major issues...

Thanks, I thought it was the correct IP (4502) but not positive, whats the possibility of buying a new temp sensor and trying that?? when the engine cools down it will start right up... thanks for the help.........
cranking speed is great, have two new batteries........I have a 4502 Injector pump coming, one person on SS said that was ther correct one....hope it is............decided to keep the truck and just start replacing the IP, GLOW PLUGS etc, just to have good starts and the truck is old.............
I have found a Stanadyne DB2 4502 ip, is this the correct pump for the M-1008 TRUCK?? Did not take mine off yet, but decided to replace it and start fresh as I like the truck.......thanks
