Im pretty sure its water. After my landcruiser was stuck in a creek for a few hours, I changed the gear axle oil and it looked the exact same as the stuff that was in my tank.
Well on the bright side, I was going to do this all in 3 weeks, All it did was just accelerate my schedule a little.
What Urks me though, Is I had to resort to napa filters instead of getting the baldwins from deuceman51. Oh well, Ill just do a filter change again in a month or 2.
Well since the last thread got locked to strange ideas for preventing something that happened only once in two years, I figured I'd give it another go.
Reguardless of your opinions on what happened/crazy ideas to keep it from ever happening again, please keep the crazy ideas to yourself...
I use the discus method. Start a few feet away from the truck, grab the rim, spin around a few times, Let go of tire and let it fly into the back of the truck. I loaded 6 tires like that. Worked pretty good, but I was a little soar afterwards.
Or go pick up a pan handler and offer him 3 bucks...
Hrm... Dan, Ya care if I do an oil change/ fuel filter swap in your yard? I need to get them done in feb, figured what better time then at the rally.
Also, If anyone wants to learn how to turn an IP up( and hopefully show me). I have been driving around for a few weeks in all conditions...
I think I can bring coffee. My cousin works at starbucks and said she should get a me few lbs of ground coffee.
Also. If you people want, I got a Ipod with about 300 country/classic rock songs I can bring along.
I normally get a week or 2 out of a 55gal drum of WMO. I messure my fuel consumptions in DPW, Or Drums Per Week.
That said, I think I get about 8-9mph running 52-55 on the freeway, and about 6-7mpg If im pulling 8k behind me with some extra in the bed.
I got a few pallet jacks laying around, Never though of using them for that. Anyone have a write up on how to pull everything off as an assembly like that laying around?
